Still no bleeding - question though...

Every morning now when I wake up with no further bleeding I'm hugely relieved. Still no pain either which is good.

I still had the cartridge style test my hospital gave me so I wanted to do it a) to help put my mind at ease and b) use it up so I've got no tests left in the house. On my first response ones the test line is stronger than the control line but on this one the test line is just slightly weaker than the control line is that just due to these tests being a bit cheaper and not as sensitive or do you think it should be of any concern? When I did it the test line started showing as soon as my urine got to that section and it appeared before the control line so that's quite a strong positive still right? I'm glad I've done it now so I don't have any left as I don't want to start doing them daily and analysing them driving myself mad

Well a positive is a positive I would say and different tests will behave differently. Just try to relax and enjoy. Congratulations xxx

Of course. That is totally understandable. Especially for everyone here in our group who go through so much.

Xx

Pregnancy tests can vary in their levels- if you’re really worried ask your GP for a HCG blood test or EPU can do one- if you can’t then there you can have one done quite cheaply- about £40 they’re much more accurate. This might be worth it to ease your mind. Every mother to be worries in the early weeks more so those who have fought infertility. When I was pregnant ( you know I miscarried) my GP said to take a day at a time in early weeks and don’t think the worst unless the worse happens because it might not and you could have worried over nothing xoxo

Thank you that's really good advice. I'm waiting on a call back from my clinic to see if they'll scan me Friday and I might call my doctor or epu later depending on what my clinic say. For now I'm staying in bed with the cat for company

So good to hear you’ve not had any more bleeding. Please don’t do any more tests though, if you were miscarrying they would still show as positive for a little while. I had a mantra early on in this pregnancy that got me through, a bit like the advice Jess has given already - ‘TODAY I AM PREGNANT’. Very simple but repeating this to myself helped to calm myself down and be thankful for how far we had got xxxxx

Thank you. Even I know the miscarriage thing with the tests due to my previous miscarriage I just wanted to use it up and seeing it did give me comfort. I have no more tests in the house and I won't be buying anymore either.

I like that mantra! I've just forced myself to have a big pint of water and some blueberries as even though I don't want to eat I have to believe there's a baby in there that needs nutrition

Hi there, hope you get some reassurance soon after the weekend, I bet your mind is going in to over drive! Like the other ladies say, today you are pregnant.

Hope you can rest up and take care of yourself 💕 xx

Thank you. I have been saying that to myself since seeing the advice and now I'm just trying to get stuck into a book I'm reading and just rest in bed with the cat xx
