Barely existent period?

Hi all, not sure if anyone will have any ideas about this...usually my cycles are longer (between 30-35 days) but when my period comes it is usually quite substantial.

So I thought I came on my period on the 27th Feb which is about the right time that it's due, as I had a bit of bright red blood (sorry tmi!!!). But ever since that there has been basically nothing at all and now has completely disappeared.

I'm only wondering about this as I started taking microgynon as prescribed on the first day of said period before starting my treatment next month. Now I'm scared that wasn't actually my period and shouldn't have taken the pill??

Does anyone have any suggestions please?

Hi gilk,

Do not worry. Try to do a pregnancy test. If you test positive for pregnancy stop taking the pill and no need to worry because a quick check on google says the pill will not affect the embryo. If its negative no need to worry because I guess they ask us to take the pill on the first day of heavy bleeding rather than a spotting/mild discharge day only to rule out any pregnancy from the previous cycle.
