Well now; did I mention we’d had quite a week? I’d got really hacked off at the weatherman last week for not warning us about bad news coming and now the weather has decided to dump a load of snow... making it impossible for us to get anywhere.
The dumping of snow also brought news of our egg collection which took place yesterday. Our donors eggs were split between two couples. 10 to one and 12 to us. 9/10 fertilised for the other couple and 0/12 fertilised for us! What a shocker! Was not expecting that at all!
So now we have only one route our consultant wants us to take. A fresh cycle. Fresh sperm. Because they aren’t sure if there’s an issue with this batch etc. Mr Emu has been advised to take some drugs and have tonnes more sex. He’s literally just missing rock n roll from his life.
Our new fresh cycle won’t cost us any more money; which is amazing if you ask me... and you might remember that I accidentally booked the wrong flights and had to extend... “what’s £300 more” claimed Yorkshire born Mr Emu... as he told me “things happen for a reason” ... and now we need those extra days! Crazy. It also means I get to lounge in the sun and swim in the sea before transfer. I love the sun. I love the snow.
So screw you Mr Weatherman. We’ll deal with whatever weather you throw at us. My mother in law has had chocolate cake and here’s Mr Emu dragging my sledge through the park this morning! X

Well, I hope you enjoy the sun and the snow and wish you so much luck on the next round. This must be quite a tough day for you x
Oh god I mean what the hell??? This is literally you can’t make this shit up type scenario. I’m so sorry it’s never easy, wishing you luck and positivity for the next cycle xxx
Oh no ! Sorry to hear fertilization didn’t happen but good to know you still have another chance with a fresh cycle in that clinic and for free! Sending positive thoughts xx
Bless, you really do get put through it don't you hun. Glad their doing a fresh one for free. Remember the toughest ppl get the toughest challenges. Your doing so well despite all that gets thrown at you. Big hugs lovely. Glad you like the snow. I only like the look of it can't stand being it 💗🤗😘
That is quite the shocker. But you never know it may be meant to work like this and when you have your BFP you will be glad it went this way. Wishing you lots and lots of luck xxx
My last round I was 3 weeks late (which never happens) and it put back our transfer. I was in such a panic over it but I got my BFP and I'm convinced that it worked out the way it was meant to. I will keep everything crossed for you 🤞🏻 Xxx
I'm so sorry for you guys. There are no words at all. Keep your chin up and don't let this stop you. Positive thoughts for round two , it's soo difficult ☹️ Massive hugs xxx where's yer snowman xxx
It's doing well so far I was sooo nervous this morning, I felt sooo sick. Hoping it survives the night and that it's a strong little fighter. Nothing's ever simple. 😁 On a funny note though I have discovered what love is .... love is when your husband rubs your back whilst you try to take a 💩 coz the meds make you sooo constipated 😂😂😂
I really do feel for you youve been such a massive support on here for everyone. Where about are u? My parents are in aberdeenshire and it's apparently red warning alerts xxx
Your husband sounds amazing! Mr Emu would be more likely to tell me to get out because he needed to go! 😂😜😂😜 That is true love. Your hubby deserves a medal!
Keeping all fingers and toes crossed for you. You’ll be answering that call so fast tomorrow!
I’m based near Leeds; you? I have friends who are in the red warning zone... they’ve predicted end of the world! x
😂😂 I'm not gonna tell him about the medal his head may expand slightly 🤣 I'm from a place called Ellon just north of Aberdeen but I'm in Spain at the moment. Is it bad I have nooo idea where Leeds is 🤣🤣 my geography has always been shite.
Mum said the snow is horrific all schools are shut and everyone's been told to stay in xxx
That really sucks but I’m glad the clinic have a plan - rock n roll for you two for the next few months then! Enjoy the snow ⛄️ and look forward to the sun☀️ - sending all the luck your way xxx
Pending us going through with it (Mr Emu’s mum diagnosed with cancer last week) it’ll be injecting from 4 April and egg collection around 7/8 May. I was astonished how amazing the clinic were in supporting us.
Thanks for loving my writing. I really must sort my blinking blog! x
Hey you. I wasn’t expecting the news either! It’s reopened chats about adoption I thought I’d buried forever. Is it bad to say I want my life back??! xx
Oh Emu, what an absolute shocker! As if you've both not got enough on your plate with the shitty "weatherman"! Hope you've gotten over your news from yesterday and absolutely delighted that you're being given the opportunity to try again at a freah cycle at no extra cost, that is such a biggie! I think you've got a sixth sense with your planning details....now you can gloat to Mr Emu that in fact you saved him money as you didn't need to cancel and rebook!!😂😂xx
Ps glad to hear mother-in-law has been digging into your chocolate cake....you sound like an awesome daughter-in-law.😗xx
