What a mess!

So my hysteroscopy was booked in for today, hubby booked the day off as he knew I was anxious. Got to the appt signed the paper work, continue to answer questions to be told I wasn’t meant to have unprotected sex for 3 weeks before today as my appt fell during my fertile window. Well nobody told me and the fact I’ve had unprotected sex for 6 years (apart from during treatment) and not fallen pregnant didn’t matter to them. They said there’s always cases and miracles happen - well I wish someone could hurry by miracle along!

Couldn’t help but get upset as my FET is all booked in around this, the consultant was understanding but still said she wouldn’t feel comfortable proceeding.

She’s going to try and get me in for next week, why is nothing simple 🤦‍♀️

Yeah I’m okay. Well a little nervous but that’s expected I suppose. Trying to get focused & I’ve Booked some time off work for the 2WW & that. Have you booked time off work? Last time I didn’t & went straight to work after my transfer but I’m not this time xx

Yeah I’m exactly the same. Sounds like your getting things ready, I’m going to book some time off this time as well, like you I’ve always gone back to work but think it might be good for my mental health as well not to xx

Aww what a faff can’t believe they didn’t tell u this information before - couldn’t they have done a test just to double check before proceeding? So frustrating hope they can fit u in next week xxxx

They did and it was negative but then back tracked and said they couldn’t go by the best because it would be to early, wish they were more forthcoming with the info xx

How frustrating and I am sorry the hospital didn’t inform you of this. That’s really bad. Mine did inform me. Seems crazy tho when we are all struggling to fall!!! 🙄

Hope you get an appointment next week.

Yeah I know ! I had to take a pregnancy test before my laparoscopy when I hadn’t fallen in nearly 6 years we both laughed at doing one 😂 I have fallen once in 6.5 years of TTC pretty crap! ( after lap)

I’m okay my surgery is 2 weeks Friday so al good 😊

Good luck for Monday I hope it goes well - either they find something and treat it at the same time. or gives you the reassurance you need to proceed with IVF 😊 Do let me know how you get on xoxo

Oh this is awful! I’m not surprised you were upset, it was so very disappointing for you to be all set to have the procedure today only to be turned away. Things are rarely straightforward are they? You poor thing. Hope you can be fitted in next week xx

So pleased to hear they got you in quickly. Been a bit unwell last couple of weeks, nothing major just very sick / nauseated which is why i've been a bit quiet but I do keep checking in to see how everyone is doing. Hope Monday goes well for you, I have everything crossed for you xxx
