Oh it makes life miserable, but is also a fantastic sign - congrats! When does it strike? I found I had to go everywhere with something to eat. Dry crackers were good for me but then I got hooked on garibaldi biscuits which probably weren’t the best! My SIL also sent me some chewy ginger sweets which were delicious and really helped. I am currently pregnant and the morning sickness isn’t too bad this time; more linked with needing something to drink. I am going for oat cakes when I feel the nausea coming on which seems to help. The important thing is having lots of healthy snacks so when you feel it coming on you can stave it off. Good luck for the pregnancy xxx
Hi Patty74. Oh dear, it's not nice. If you are vomiting lots maybe you need to see your GP or midwife. Meanwhile, do try the ginger as "Flimzee" suggests. Best to try a ginger biscuit before you get up in the morning too if you can. Hope it soon settles down, and lets hope seeing your first scan will cheer you up. Diane
Sorry to hear you feel so lousy with the nausea etc. It's not nice company but on the other hand,it's a good sign. The good news is the sickness should ease off in maybe 7 or 8 weeks time when you enter into the 2nd trimester. In the meantime, eat dry toast, plain biscuits, crackers, breadsticks,French toasts. Make sure you are getting plenty of rest and drink plenty of water too. Eat little but often. Ginger can help with sickness too-ginger nuts, ginger cookies etc. Hope you start to feel bit better too. You will,if not soon but in a few weeks. Hang in there!Congrats by the way!xo
Thanks for the replies ladies it does help allot xxx
My daughter wore the bracelets for travel sickness. They really helped xx
Hey Patty74, I’m 6 weeks and 2 days and have sore boobs but no sickness. However I am taking B6 50 mg every day, which is a super high dose which I was prescribed as I have MTHFR. However reading up on B6 it seems that it’s used to treat morning sickness so I wonder if that’s why I’m not feeling sick.

Looks like the jury’s out on it, so worth speaking to your Doc about it, but ensuring you eat foods with normal and healthy amounts of B6 may help you.
Have you had your scan yet? Xx
Hey thanks that sounds good I'm going to check it out. It more the wretching..its horrible!
I've not had my scan yet it's on 7th March I'm really nervous about it I'm praying everything will be ok as I bet you are. Have you had an early scan? Xxx
I found that I the sickness was worst when I was hungry and if I didn’t eat before a certain point then I didn’t want to eat. So I ate all my meals earlier than usual. A ginger biscuit to start the day also helped.
Heya. Hope u feeling ok. Out of interest when did the sickness start for u? Know it all different for everyone but am 5 1/2 weeks now but not getting a lot of symptoms at mo ☺️
Kate Middleton suffered really bad! I only had it in the mornings and my friend at work had it the whole way through - she didn’t have any more because of it. I had ginger biscuits to help me and it worked - also mints are great just not too many!xx
