I took a drip of intralipid a couple of hours after my 5 day blastocyst transfer, this is more to prevent miscarriage than anything else, recommended once after transfer and once after 3 months so that your body has the additional support to maintain the pregnancy.

It's expensive but I'd say go for it without a second thought.

Hi, thank you for your reply. It has been recommended due to my mc and endo. When you say expensive, how expensive?

I paid €500 for one drip (which was removed at 50% and the rest thrown!! I was a bit shocked but nothing compared to what it does) I believe it is more expensive in U.K.

My clinic have quoted £350 per infusion!

That's really good. I guess the currency conversion also made a difference but I'd say definately go for it. Xx

Iv been thinking about this I might mention it to my mc consultant. Sorry for your loss hun. Been there enough times I know how hard it is. There seems to be a lot of controversy around it but the way I see it. What works for one may not work for another we're all different but anything that's not doing to cause harm is worth a, shot in my opinion 💗🤗😘

Sorry for your loss Tia.xx

My clinic has recommended intralipids for my next cycle and right now Im willing to try anything. Ive no idea why it works as I cant see the science behind it as its only eggs and soya oil but hey ho. Im having treatment abroad and my clinic are going to do the first tranfusion as it works out better financially for me. I looked at a private clinic in Scotland (the only one that seems to do it) and they wanted £225 and that was with them discounting the £150 presciption fee so it can be expensive. You can maybe even look around as I found a private GP service that is willing to do it for £100 (but not the first one). Best of luck!xx

Cheaper than my clinic 350 per drip and they are saying 4

Id say 4 is too much sweetie, take the first one (on the same day as transfer) and then another one is not required again until you cross 3 months, then once again if you feel the need at 6 months... not sure how they calculated 4...

I only took the first one and I am 24 weeks today and my regular monthly scans are coming back exactly how I want it - all is well. Hence go for the first one and then decide as you go along... xx

Interesting, 4 is the number recommended but it says up to 6 lipid infusions. I think day 8 of stims, transfer, 7 weeks and 12 then 16 and 24 if needed

Wow far far too much, I'd check else where and consult a few gynea's before I commit to anything.
