So had a wonderful 12 hours straight of throwing up and not keeping any fluids down with back pain. So rang my GP as NHS direct were concerned I wasn’t holding any fluids down and back pain = kidneys etc.
So I knew that every single person in my life would say ‘Are you sure you’re not pregnant’ . So I avoided saying what was wrong and when my husbands brother called I shouted if you say I’m ill tell him I’m not pregnant.
Even I thought it for a milisecond then told myself it wasn’t at 3am crying to myself over the toilet bowl (a slight low point 🙈). But I’m glad of the nurse on the phone for NHS direct who said if you have a fever its unlikely you are pregnant I’m sorry. Which then made me ready for the doctor to say my pregnancy test was negative.
But anyway, my real question is- I’ve decided to stop taking the Metformin as the doctor said I needed to come off it due to the vomiting. It took me a while to get up to my dose so I’m waiting for my next appt to see what is next. It hasn’t really worked for me anyway.
Did anyone else find that Metformin didn’t work for their PCOS?
Thanks
