Early miscarriage

I’m a little confused about what is going on with my body. I got my BFP (for the first time ever) but I had bleeding (red spotting) and a week after my OTD the clinic confirmed my hcg was dropping. I was spotting for ages, maybe 10-14 days, but never heavily. The thing I don’t understand is that after I stopped the progesterone 10 days ago & I didn’t have any further bleeding. Is it possible that the womb lining hasn’t shed properly? Or is this normal? Waiting on a call back from the clinic, but any insights from you lovely ladies would be hugely appreciated in the meantime xx

Hi Wishfully. So sorry to hear all of this. It could be that you have had a very early missed miscarriage, and all the lining has not quite shed properly, I don't know. I think you may find that the clinic may want to scan you just to check what is going on. I hope all soon settles back down to what is normal for you. Thinking of you. Diane

Thanks DianeArnold - last cycle I had a chemical pregnancy & that ended very abruptly with just unreal amounts of blood (sorry for the gory explanation!!). So I’m just very wary that this time is so different. I’ll see what the clinic have to say & will suggest a scan. Thank you for your help 😊xx
