Heavy bleeding🙁

Hi lovelies,

After my ivf failed on Sunday I stoped my pessaries and since yesterday my period started and today it’s very heavy. I don’t have too much clot but it’s heavy,I have to change my sanitary pad every hour. Is it normal? I mean my period normally is heavy but nothing like this. I also have bad pain. Should I call the clinic or it’s normal? It’s scary. Hope you all doing great xxx

Hi, I did have heavy bleeds after failed cycles and for the first one, terrible shooting pains in my back and down my thighs. I’m sure the nurses at your clinic would be only too happy to speak to you about it if you’re concerned xx

Hi lovely, really! So it’s normal I was so scared,yeah I have strange pain even on my boobs but mostly strong period pain. I’ll wait till tomorrow maybe I get better xxx

Hi lovely. I’ve expected the bleeding to be heavier as the lining of the womb is thicker due to the progesterone. I have been bleeding heavier than my normal period. Pain wise- I would take some paracetamol and if that helps, it’s unlikely to be anything serious. Feel free to call the clinic if you are worried. Big hugs x

hi anna, sadly i think this is pretty standard after all the medication.

my periods after both failed rounds were whoppers. it’s almost insult to injury - like you need to be reminded it didn’t work!

So sorry for your bfn!! ☹️ Yes, unfortunately after my first bfn my period was much heavier than normal and lasted longer!!

It so is, mine was in Sept and now currently 2ww following FET!!

Hi Anna, I’m going through that now as well. I just got my period and the pain is awful. Mine isn’t as heavy as yours but heavier than normal. Maybe a hot water bottle and some paracetamol will help. Call your clinic though just to be safe if it’s unbearable xxx

Hi lovely, sorry that you’re in this situation,it’s so tough😔 yeah I have my hot water bottle with me 24hrs! The pain is not that bad it just very heavy. I’ll wait till tomorrow if still was heavy will call them xxx

We thinking about Italy rome and Venice and maybe few days in Paris as well! We still looking to find a good deal but at least I have something to look forward to. Hope you’re ok xx

Mine was very heavy too with clots and lasted a bit longer.

I used to have painful periods when I was younger but this felt slightly different. Painful yes but more a very uncomfortable pain - it felt that the lining was actually being yanked off - if that makes sense??.....I'd had co-codamol prescribed as pain relief for migraine pain. The paracetamol / ibuprofen wasn't really doing anything for the pain so double checked with my GP if I could use the co-codamol just for this "period" to take the edge off of it and thankfully he agreed - as long as it was used sparingly!

I found this bleeding after a BFN emotionally very tough....The result was bad enough but as I said in another reply, it is like having salt rubbed in the wound - "you're definitely not pregnant"!

I don’t have too much clots actually but it’s heavy. Mine is always painful I always say my period is like a disability for me as I can do anything for 2 3 days. But yes this time is harder as I had a very tough month. I can’t take co codamol it makes me feel sick,dr said it’s to strong for me because I’m Pettit and my body is sensitive. paracetamol and ibuprofen are enough for me. Hopefully it will finish by next week and going to start my normal life🤞🏻x

Hey there hon! This is something very common, you are just overthinking. But if you are still worried about it then visit your doctor, they will be able to clear all your doubts with some tests. But this is not something you should worry about. After ivf failure, it's common for periods to get heavy. After some time your periods will get back to normal. Take some pain killer and try to relax. Go for a massage or something, that will maybe help you during this pain. Just don't lose hope sweetie! These bad days will come to an end soon enough. One day you will succeed. Stay positive and take care of yourself, make sure you are eating healthy. Get some sleep and relax now. Stay blessed and Strong. Good luck with your future! Much Love!

I’m a bit better thanks lovely,it’s not as heavy as it was and since morning I’m pain free hope it doesn’t come back later. To be honest it’s so hard to keep my hope,but I hope to be ok soon I’m mean I try my best to get back to my normal life. I don’t think I do the ivf soon maybe do in the future but don’t know when it’s gonna be. Xx

Hi Anna. I had my bfn on Monday. Started my period Tuesday.

Oh my gosh. By the next day. I've been in so much pain.

I had cramps front and back, 3hours straight!

Now after midnight. I've been in pain since like 7pm.

I've had 4 painkillers today.

The first 2 worked for this afternoon after being in constant pain for 3hours BUT this evenings cramp? Painkiller not working!

I've got my heatpad on my tummy and my hot water bottle on my lower back.

Period is heavy too. Thank God for tampons!

Hope your pain has left your body. We just don't need that s*** right now!

Omg Raz mine is the same! I’m a bit better today I guess I have no blood left that’s why it’s not as heavy as it was! I was in a bad pain yesterday even with painkillers I still had pain,I carried my hot water bottle 24hrs with me. Did you had too much clot or it’s just blood?

Hope you’re pain is better today,exactly we don’t need this s*** we had enough! xx

Still in pain today. 😣 I'm ok though mentally. 😑

My sleep got broken this morning. I was in agony. Had to get up and get myself a reheated hot water bottle and had to have another pain killer. Luckily it only took an hour to go back to sleep.

I cooked with a stomach cramp early this afternoon while my husband dealt with the plumber fixing our toilet. He cooks too but couldn't today. Busy man. Works really hard.

This evening hasn't been going great for me either. The pain just doesn't seem to wanna leave my body.

I'm planning to go away to stay at my mums down south near London. (I live near Manchester).

Need to get away from the loneliness. I need to be around my lot as I'm from a big family.

I'm not sure about the blood clot as I wear tampon bit my period is heavy.

My pain is much better today only took 2 paracetamol,and it’s not as heavy as yesterday guess I’m getting better.thanks god! Oh I can’t use tampons at all,mine is heavy so no chance for that,I used a big sanitary pad😒 . It’s good you can go to your mom mine is very far from here so I can’t be with my family. You lucky xx
