Hi Kat

I suffered terribly with it when I was pregnant. I worked in a restaurant which didn't help matters by the end of my shift i could hardly walk. I didn't see a doctor though as I don't think there's much you can do about it . It disappeared straight away when I had my twin babies xx

Hello,

I'm 100% sure i have this and it started from pretty early on, my midwife told me there's no way i have it and completely dismissed me! I put my foot down and said look i know pregnancy isnt all sunshine and roses and there's parts that are going to be uncomfortable but the pain im in isnt normal. She sent me for a referral with the physio at the hospital which was a complete waste of time it was a massive group of pregnant women and she just gave you tips on how to move ( i dont even think it was for what my problem was, because trying to do things with your legs together also is no help) Im now 23 weeks and its got so much worse especially if i do house work or anything it seems! The other day i got stuck on the sofa laying down and couldnt move i just broke down and cried my eyes out luckily my partner was at home and had to lift me up, ive got another appointment this month with the midwife so im gonna tell her again i doubt they will do much though :|

Hopefully yours goes better than what mine did!xx

Thanks for ur reply ladies.

I self diagnosed really lol as you do with Google lmao!

Went to GP this morning, was a locum not my regular GP and the cheeky bugger dismissed it as nothing!!!

She said Take paracetamol and try to take it easy and get rest! I said i work and need to be on my feet regularly getting in an out of car etc. She said, quite sternly and coldly i must add, that she can’t send me for an Xray or give me any pills so what do i want??!

I said refer me to physio (i know the physio should carefully assess you and can offer a pregnancy support belt)

She refused but put on my notes i will see how it goes, tale paracetamol put my feet up, come back at some point possibly a week and get referred to physio if no better!!!

Called my midwife who is lovely and said don’t worry she will refer me.so i am hoping that they are able to help. Pain has started to ease slightly and that’s because i am not exerting myself as usual but the pubis bone really hurts when i put jeans on etc! Getting in an out of car is nightmare and standing up after sitting for too long is painful as is turnin in the night!!!

I hope it gets better soon i need to carry on working i dont want to use my maternity too early!! Xx

Ah yeah i don't know why they dismiss it every time like were making it up! At least your midwife is nice haha, just as a heads up when i got referred for physio they didn't even touch me to see what was wrong it was at the hospital with a load of other pregnant women we all just sat on chairs and a woman at the front showed you how to get in and out of the car (you will have to do this with your legs together not separate) same for getting dressed and things like this to sit down on the bed put your trousers on then stand up instead of standing to get dressed and also using a hot water bottle on the affected area ... as i said in my previous post none of that has helped me so it was useless :| xx
