My clinic has stated that i will be weighed during my treatment. If my BMI goes above 35 at any stage, then the treatment will be cancelled. I’m right on the cusp. Has anyone else had this and their treatment cancelled?
I’m trying desperately to loose weight but I’m just staying the same……..

I wasn’t weighed, but they did ask me for my height and weight…? Which I don’t remember them doing in the past. Not sure what would have happened if I was over…. Good luck, it’s so tough 🤞🙏 x
I got weighed (first ivf round) and was told to lose weight but tbh I don’t think I managed any. On my last round I weighed more then my previous, my bmi 31 and they still went ahead. Don’t know if it’s cuz I’ve paid 🤷♀️ also if you get bfp you need to take extra folic acid I didn’t know that until I was 10 weeks (you only need to take it til your 12) xx
not exactly like that... but at the very beginning of this journey they told me that I have to loose weight. Back then my BMI was 32.5 now is 24.
I can tell you what I did, but at the end we are all different, and it might not work for you.
Previously I did Weight Watchers and I was able to loose some weight, but this time I was very stuck, and when I was talking with some friends they mentioned Keto Diet. So I did some research and I started with it.
I found it very difficult the first 2 weeks but once you body gets used to, it was easier and easier. I managed to loose 30 kg, but it took me 3 years with some breaks in between.
I am not saying that you need to loose this amount, but it might help you to stay under 35 as they told you.
Thank you for the great advice. I am trying for low carb / low sugar, will see if it works but time is running out. Just have to do all I can! Well done to you on your weight loss, that’s amazing! Xx
you will see the results soon, I am sure! eat lots of vegetables that are very low on Carbs, that will help you to fill full and they have lots of vitamins. but if you struggle see the doctor to help you with a diet that works better for you.
Hi Spates. Difficult to answer, butas a rule there is no need to. Just keep at your weight loss. We all get to a sticking point, but hopefully it will start coming off again. Good luck! Diane
I was scared about this but I had to have a BMI of 30. I got it down to 28 at my consultation but then by the time IVF started, I was bang on 30 and really stressed about it but they didnt weigh me once!
I had to loose a significant amount for NHS funded and was struggling to get my BMI under 30. They still let me go for treatment when I was boardline. Hope all goes well xxx
I was weighed just before treatment at nhs but just asked by private clinic. Never heard of this being weighed all the way through thing? All you can do is up your water intake, move whatever way you can and eat well. Hopefully you’ll
