Hi All! I am new here
My name is Sarah; from Cheshire, and am 34 next week!
I have been referred by my GP to the hospital in regards to IVF (16th Jan), and am just waiting now for a letter from them listing a number of hospitals where I can have the 'treatment' then I will need to make my own appointment; (As informed by Triage yesterday, when I gave them a little friendly chase-up/update).
Basically, I have no children, but have had an ectopic pregnancy a good few years ago, which I left far too long before finally going to the hospital. I'll spare the gorey details, but in effect, my right tube had to be completely removed along with a 7.2cm 'growth'. The other tube doesn't work either.
Very upsetting situation, to say the least, but there is hope for the future. I'm glad I have finally made the first step, but I am very anxious and a tad scared of both the physical and emotional pain to come.
This may sound really silly, but I am really getting myself worked up over the injections I may need to do myself! I know it will all be worth it, but EEK!
PS: I am so glad to have found this! What a great support for people going through similar issues.
Thanks
