one step backward!

Hi! ladies i wish you all the best. I am sorry for having a rant but i need to get it off my chest. i went to have my last scan yesterday before my transfer and to my disbelief i was told the medication to stop me from ovulating has not worked. my body has override it i had 17 follicles on one side and five on the other and this could affect implantation they said. Due to this they had to cancel my transfer date, bearing in mind that i already booked my two weeks annual leave i have to rebook another two weeks leave. I don't know if i will get the time off so soon. I now has to start all over but on injection this time to avoid this recurring. If it not bad enough i only have 1 blastocyst left which may or may not thawed properly. I feel like i am going backward. Thanks for everyone and good luck.

Hi hop36. Hold on to the thought that freezing methods today called vitrification have hugely improved success rates with thawing. Your little "frostie" has been stored well, so fingers crossed that he/she is a success for you. Diane

Hi hop36. Just read this – only here Monday, Wednesday & Friday. So sorry to read that you are so despondent about everything you have been going through, but I do understand. Have you received any counselling along the way? If not, it might be a good idea to book a session, which you are entitled to even with NHS treatment. Let’s hope that something positive is waiting for you at last. Diane

Hi Diane, Thank you for your advice. I am having ivf private and i have been offered counselling but i decided not to received it. I taught that i did not needed it, however as you say it might be a good idea to try it. I will discuss it tomorrow with my clinic. Having this week off from work, i have been keeping myself occupied doing fun things with my hubby. This have helped a lot, I am a bit more positive at the moment. I will try to get an appointment to see the counsellor before i have my next transfer. Thanks again, you have been a rock.

Hi hop36. Just read this, and just hoped that you got on OK with the clinic yesterday and hopefully managed to arrange a session of counselling with them. Thinking of you. Diane

Hi! Yeah, I spoke to the clinic yesterday and they gave me an appointment on the third of Nov, before my transfer. I guess it can only help to speak to someone. I do have a lot of friends at work and around my home but even though they meant well i don't feel like they understand my situation. I don't feel like i could open up to them regardless of their comforting words and sympathy. Thanks again, god bless.
