Hi all, I’ve just booked in for acupuncture next week and I’m looking forward to it. Going to try anything for this last go of icsi so I have everything crossed. Any info on it from people who’s gone through it? I have anxiety too so I’m hoping it works for that also. Hope all is well with everyone 🤗❤️

Hello. I've just started having it before I start ICSI. I find it incredibly relaxing, I'm on a cloud for a few days afterwards

I’ve had it 3/4 cycles and am planning to have it again for my FET. It definitely helped with my anxiety, good luck x

Hi, I’ve had 4 goes at acupuncture this round and have loved it. Really feel it’s completely changed where I am in my head. Having the needles isn’t as relaxing as a massage but I feel completely different after it and that can last between a couple of hours and a week. Will be carrying on even after I get pregnant because I find it helps my anxiety so much! Hope it’s as good for you as I have found it xxx

I will! Am a bit nervous as I still have a needle phobia that IUI and IVF have not yet cured but my friend promised it feels so good and not all painful. Here’s hoping! Good luck with your appt xxx

I’m thinking about that with the needles and then saying to myself that I injected for 12 days, crazy ain’t it xx

It’s much easier when you don’t have to put them in yourself! You’ll barely feel it and they’ll make you feel good (promises a woman who doesn’t have a needle phobia but doesn’t enjoy injecting drugs into herself at all).

So just had the appt yesterday and it was absolutely fine! We had a long talk at the start and as we are trying a couple more natural cycles before next round of IVF he convinced me to try recording my temperatures, something I’ve resisted for years feeling like it would stress me out. But he explained its not for ovulation but to see if I am having any dips or odd peaks throughout my cycle so he can better target treatment. Worth a try! Needles were fine! Hope yours goes okay this week xxx

I've had acupuncture before and during my second cycle of icsi and have found it really helpful, just talking to the therapist who is taking a more holistic approach than the medics has been really good.

I found some recorded relaxations by Zita West that are specific to IVF treatment and link to acupuncture points which are really good, you can download them through iTunes if you search for Zita West or can order them though her website as a CD.

We’ll be starting our first cycle of ICSI at the end of the month and I’ve booked in for my first Accupuncture consultation next weekend. I hate all the waiting around you have to do on this whole IVF journey so I think by doing things like Accupuncture I’m actually doing something to help and gaining back some control! Happy to read all the good reports about it though on this post......I was a little dubious but looks like it’s helped a lot of people! If nothing else it will hopefully help me relax a bit 😊

Well what an experience with yesterday’s consultation. She was lovely and with asking loads of questions, taking my pulse in 3 different ways on each wrist and looking at my tongue a few times 😳🤔 she pin pointed all whats going on with me. All of it down to a tee!! She has advised for me to get the best results through the acupuncture that if we’re willing to delay our next cycle back 4-6 months. We’re willing to do this and I’m hoping that the clinic will understand and let us. We only have this last go so we’re really hoping that it works. Hope all is well with everyone ❤️❤️ xx
