I have just been referred back to Maidstone, after a missed miscarriage following hycosy and smoking cessation, but it seems that I have been moved from Dr Wilcox team to Dr RJ Connell's team. I looked him up and he doesn't specialise in fertility but in other areas within gynacology. Has anyone been seen by him or his team before for fertility? Or would he be part of Dr Wilcox team? Just wondering if the hospital has messed up my referral (this would be the 4th time this has happened in the space of 4 months!) or he is indeed a specialist regarding fertility at the hospital.

First of all so sorry for your miscarriage- I have been there myself in July it's so heartbreaking 😥
Could it be that after your procedure the Dr has referred you to a general gynaecologist to treat any issues that were found?
I have had some issues since my miscarriage and to cut a very long story short my fertility doctor referred me to his colleague who is a general gynaecologist- outcome is I'm having laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, biopsy and possible removal of endometriosis ( I have endometriosis which was found last June and treated,) For me my fertility doctor isn't a general gynaecologist anymore so he feels these issues need to be investigated by a general gynae.
Really hope that the hospital haven't mucked up- maybe call the hospital and speak to your gynae secretary? Hopefully the secretary can give you the reassurance you need or failing that ask your GP why you've been referred there.
I'm not sure. I had my miscarriage in April last year and haven't been able to get pregnant since. When I spoke to my GP after, they said they would refer me back to the clinic I was originally at and I would carry on where I left off (next step was IVF after my hycosy) so I'm a bit confused.
Tried ringing the secretary today and as per usual no one picks up. (I tried 2 months straight, 3 times a day to speak to someone and no answer until last week.)
It's starting to become extremely irritating. Might ring again in a couple of hours.
Bombard her with answering machine messages- she’ll soon get in touch! Sometimes you have to be persistent 😳 it is tedious...
I’m in a similar situation to you- I fell in July after having endometriosis removed. And like you I haven’t managed to conceive since. It’s disheartening- I had such hopes of falling again. But instead my body had other ideas and I’m going under the knife!!!
