Nurse didn’t give me the right meds - could this be reason behind positive then negative result?

Hi all

Sorry for being so inactive on here I have recently had another failed round of ivf and since then I have been miles away. When I was clearing out the post etc I found a letter from my doctor saying that he was prescribing me Lubion and Cyclogest but I was actually only given Lubion by the nurse. She is so lovely and I wouldn’t like to seem awkward by raising it with the doctor but I had a positive test one day before test day and then a negative one the day after and now I am thinking was I pregnant but without the correct progesterone levels it couldn’t be maintained. I’m going to Barcelona to see a different clinic as I think I need a second opinion. Anyway if anyone knows what the difference in progesterone levels between just Lubion or Lubion and cyclogest is I would love to know.

Where you suppose to be on cyclogest one morning and one night plus lubion 25 mg injection in the evening? If so indeed, your low levels of progesterone may not have been able to have sustained the pregnancy. Your doc may have prescribed it because you may needed extra support. I am taking cyclogest twice a day plus lubion also twice a day. You definitely should report this back to them. If this was a error from their side they should give you another round!

Thanks for your reply he just said in the letter that I would get both. I emailed him and he just said it’s the usual dose and that it wouldn’t make any difference if I had the cyclogest which I don’t really understand. Surely if he had increased the dose by prescribing both drugs then he thought at the time I needed more. Not sure what to think really. Hope your cycle is going well x

Emma d thing is once d cycle is all done and finished why would a clinic admit their fault and b in trouble . So they just want to wash their hands off and move on and tell u what they can do in d next cycle for u
