Does anyone know how long a medical management takes to work? Can it happen slowly? Or how long it can go on for? The hospital gave me the impression it would happen very quickly ... but I had the tablets Thursday morning ... it took till 10pm for the strong cramps (through out the night) and light bleeding to start mild cramping and bleeding since but that’s it... any help would be lovely 😔
I would really appreciate any advice... - Fertility Network UK
I would really appreciate any advice...
When I had medical management mine didn’t work but I didn’t know that until two weeks later when I cramped and passed the baby.
The day I had medical management i did experience cramps and some bleeding but didn’t know what to expect so thought it had worked.
Unfortunately I got a call after it did happen over two weeks later saying they forgot to follow me up with a scan to check it had passed.
Hope you don’t have to wait too long xx
Thank you ... the hospital really didn’t give me enough information 😔 I don’t think it’s worked for me either... gosh it’s hard enough as it is 😥
I know 😔 looking back I can’t believe how little info they gave me really xx
My experience was exactly the same as above so I really wasn't prepared when it started up again two weeks later. I also had to go back for a scan after and had to do a later pregnancy test as the first one was still showing pregnant. Sorry you are going through this and hope it passes quickly.xxx
Cat. The hospital said to me if nothing like bleeding or cramping hadn't happened in 72 hrs to go back and I'll have more. If your bleeding is heavy and still nothing and your feeling dizzy you need to go back to hospital. It can take a few days for bubz to pass but if your getting worried I'd ring them and get some reassurance from them. Hope it happens soon hun
💗🤗😘
Thank you Cat ... I feel so lost... I didn’t want to bother you AGAIN especially after what you have been through xx
Please don't say that hun. We're both going through the same thing. That makes me sad you feel like that your going through the same if not worse as it's taking longer to work xxx
Hey don’t you say that either either way we have both just lost our babies 😢
Hi Kat,
I saw your like and thought I should ask how you are doing? Have you passed the pregnancy?
I wish you the best. Stay strong.
Hi kumkums
Yes fortunately I passed bubu last night at 9 currently in a pot waiting for placental tissue. They are going to test this one. Sorry for tmi.
I'm still getting pain but I'm glad I picked this, way couldn't wait any longer.
Hope your baring up well hun. You know where I am if you ever need yo talk 💗🤗😘 thanks for asking xxx
Hi,
I'm sorry to hear what you are going through.
I had medical management twice three weeks ago and went on to have surgical management last Thursday.
From what you described, I can say it hasn't worked. Normally you should pass some clots aside the normal bleeding. So call your clinic and let them check you by doing a scan.
I wish you the best.
Which tablets did you have? I’m so sorry that yours didn’t go to plan either 😔 I’m going to leave it till tomorrow then ring the hospital
It's cytotec (Misoprostol). It's hexagonal in shape. I had the first round via mouth ( I put the medicine underneath my tongue), had the second round through the vagina and had to stay in the hospital.
Is it the same medicine you used?
I had to insert 4 Misoprostol into my vagina... then went straight home?! They just said if I felt unwell or severe bleeding to go back! I’m so confused... I know everyone is different!!
Can I ask if you have children? Does it make a difference?!
I think they made me stay in the hospital cos the first one didn't work and they wanted to monitor me closely this time around.
No I don't have any children yet and this was the first time I ever got pregnant. I have never been pregnant. I don't k ow of it makes any difference.
I don't think having children makes a difference. Some ppl it works first time others it doesn't. It's just the way of medicine hun. Xxx
