I wondered if any of you who’ve had IVF or Clomid before, have experienced this.
My periods at the end of a medicated cycle have been EXTREMELY painful but the same volume, consistency and length of time. When I’m on a break my bleeds are much much less painful though the same in every other way.
I know that progesterone builds up the lining and so the bleeds should be heavier but then I can’t understand why my periods are no heavier/lighter and just more painful?
What bothers me is to think that my natural periods show signs of certain hormones completely missing. I just wanted to know if anyone else had had similar experiences.
I have cycles that range from 26 to 32 days.

I have experienced this and I think it might be because the lining is maybe a bit thicker then it would be normally. I had some scary clots too which I think contributed to the pain. It’s absolutely awful. I am not sure if there is any connection to the hormones but could well be. Do you know what your progesterone levels were on day 21 at last test day?
just thought id share.. I was on clomid for 4 months.. and I didn't get and symptoms apart from hot flushes, sore boobs.. but my periods were fine, but I have never had bad periods maybe the off bit of backache but thats it really... this is the first month off before I start my IVF.. I was put on for low progesterone, maybe the hormones have something to do with it?
I think my progesterone each month was in mid thirties.
The reason I asked this question was because I read that miscarriages are contraction-like waves that are very painful but then there is rests in between. That’s how I felt on all my medicated cycles. Normal periods are a dull but constant pain.
