I phoned the hospital and they said i would get a call within 10 days. I am not sure how this works, but i am on the short protocol so maybe there is a reason for this

10 days?? On the short protocol you should have your baseline scan day 2 or 3, if it’s just normal IVF/ICSI and then start your medication. Perhaps call them back and check it’s definitely 10 days time and they’re aware you’re on the short protocol?!! Keep us posted on how you get on! Xx

Thank you, yes i called back and she said it will be within 10 days

she knows i am on short protocol too. This makes me think it won't be till my next period now.

I haven't had my nurse appointment next or any meds so maybe thats a reason xx

Ah yes that must be why, if you’ve not got the meds then that would make sense! Such a pain isn’t it, however it could mean the best Christmas present ever!! Good luck with everything! Xxxx

Thank you, i am disappointed as its just an extra wait isn;t it. I hope i don't have to ring and chase them if i don;t hear back.

Fingers crossed that would be amazing xx

I did short protocol and I'd say it will be your next period if not the one after. Don't forget that times like Xmas the clinics close and will turn people away. It will be worth the wait though. Good luck

Have they put you on the pill while you wait? They needed to delay my start for a week as AF was early for once so they put me on the pill to do it? If not they agree with the others that it will prob be next month for you as you start meds on day 1 of short protocol. You will definitely need nurse appt and baseline scan before you start though. I seem to remember I did my baseline scan partway through the previous month, possibly at the same time as my nurse appt - they didn’t seem to think it mattered when the scan was for me. Hopefully you’ll hear back soon and they’ll tell you what the plan is.

This sounds like it makes sense. By ten days I'll be half way through. No not on the pill. So will probably be next months period and will have the medication ready for then. Thanks this is rely helpful. X

UPDATE- so i phoned and they said i am on the list, they told me to call back if not heard in the 10 days. I am panicking about the timings as i know they close for Xmas. Not sure how long for though?

The thing which is worrying me is the funding, i know this can change all the time so i am worried this would happen in the time i am waiting for treatment.

Does anyone have any advice?

Would i still be okay as all the paperwork has been signed or would i have to appeal or something? x
