Question for Diane

hi!Diane I thought you would be the best person to answer this - we just paid a week ago for 3 cycles of ivf, and today or tomorrow should be day one of my period to start the first cycle. However.... I've had awful period type cramping since Sunday and no sign of my period, and also had some brown flecks in cervical fluid on Sunday and Monday which is now gone. I did a test this morning just on the off chance, and it has a line on! Unfortunately it was my second wee of the day as I genuinely wasnt expecting anything so didn't do it with first morning wee. It's an internet cheapie, but definitely a faint line. All my ivf friends think I should do a 4 hour hold and test at lunchtime with a first response or clearblue - will that be enough time do you think, to maybe show up? Don't think I can bear to wait til tomorrow...

I should add I'm now 14 DPO.

Hi Orla9298. Well, it does look promising. However, I would advise you to wait until tomorrow morning and test the first urine of the day, for a correct result. Of course you can do the "4 hour" thing too if you want, but still go for tomorrow as well. Keeping everything crossed for you. Diane

I know.... 😱 Just did a clearblue and said negative and did a cheap strip again and same line there again. Should have waited til tomorrow! I use the cheap strips all the time so I know it's not an evap, just hope it's not going to turn out to be nothing. I know clearblue digital detect over 50 units but the One Step detects 25... fingers crossed!
