Hiya, I asked the nurse yesterday about it and I’m in the 2 week wait at the mo, she said yes. It’s best you double check yourself also though. It’s well worth having it done otherwise x

Hi, I had the flu jab whilst talking Suprecur/Buserelin injections.

I was a little sore and poorly for a day or two after but have been fine since.

I was told it was safe to do.

Hi Scarlett13.The flu jab used in the UK is prepared from an inactivated virus and there is no evidence that it's harmful to unborn babies, so you will be OK to have it while undergoing your IVF cycle. Studies have also shown that the flu vaccine can be safely and effectively given during any trimester of pregnancy. The vaccine does not carry risks for either the mother or baby. In fact, studies have shown that mothers who have had the vaccine while pregnant pass some protection to their babies, which lasts for the first few months of their lives. Obviously, mention it to your clinic, but I think they will agree. Good luck with the rest of your cycle. Diane

Yeah hun you should be fine but keep an eye out for flu like symptoms that are worse than usual as they can be similar to OHSS and it can be quite serious, but rare so do not panic and good luck x
