Hi Ladies
Have any ladies over 40 had a BFP with their own eggs??
hi, I got a BFP at 41. Sadly miscarried 9 wks later but I'd miscarried twice before in my 30s so it may not be age to blame and we're having investigations. Plenty of women have successful pregnancies well into their 40s. Good luck xx
I know there were others on here who have x
My sister did at 41, naturally.
I had my daughter when I was 41, naturally. I'm now 44 and trying for #2.
If you don't mind me asking do you worry about age? We have a frozen embryo but I will be 41 then which I feel is wittering 3
I have just turned 40, three Failed IVF's. I'm gonna try one more time and do a tandem ivf abroad. I know women get pregnant naturally at 40 and over but I nwv no chance of that as my DH has been diagnosed with no sperm (Azoospermia).
Because it only took 4 months to get pregnant with my daughter I wrongly assumed it be as straight forward trying for #2. After 2 years of trying I have spent a lot of time worrying I'm now too old to get pregnant. I had a laparoscopy 2 weeks ago and found out both my Fallopian tubes were blocked. Now they've been unblocked I'm hoping that is the only reason I've been unable to conceive.
I think for me it's physically being over 40 which is a worry
Yes there are many ladies that do, but not me. I’ve just turned 40 and have been trying for 3 years. I’ve tried 4 rounds of IVF with my own eggs and 3 times with donor eggs, currently in my 2ww so hoping my 3rd de Transfer has worked. Good luck for your next attempt xx
I’ve also just turned 40! Trying for a tandem cycle using my own eggs with DE as back-up...won’t be doing it until next summer tho as I’ve gotta save up for it....this will be my last try but I’ll have some of the unused donor eggs in the freezer should I wish to do another transfer. I’m just worried my eggs are gonna run out or I’ll start going through “the change” before I get there! 😔😟
There are stats on the hfea website for every clinic in the U.K. and you can drill down into these to find pregnancy rates for over 40s in your clinic. My clinic finds that the live birth rate drops but they do still get pregnancies.
