Feeling low and disappointed - please please help...

Hi all,

I haven't posted anything in a while but have logged in from time to time to read some of your posts. Great to see so many happy endings and for those of you who are still on the journey, I really hope it happens for you soon. You all deserve it!

I had an EC for my third cycle last week. I have a low ovarian reserve so wasn't expecting many eggs but was disappointed to only have three eggs collected this cycle (last cycle I had 5). Only two fertilised and on Day 3 I was told that one was suitable for freezing and was a top grade while the other one was developing more slowly and that I would get a call on day 5 or 6. Just received that call. Unfortunately that one didn't make it so in total I have three embryos from 3 cycles. I'm feeling really upset and I know I should be more positive about it but I can't help feeling disappointed. I'm single and although I have the support of my family and close friends, it can be incredibly lonely sometimes and it's very easy for me to feel very low.

I have a follow up call with the Doctor on Tuesday to discuss transfer. I'm now really worried about the thawing process. It's just one stress after another isn't it?

Does anyone have any success stories with the thawing process for Day 3 embryos or pregnancy with Day 3 embryos? Just need a pick me up to help with carry on with the day.

Thank you for you kind words. I really appreciate it. I'm allowing myself this weekend to cry and feel sorry for myself and then I intend to sort myself out by cheering up and focusing on the positives.

Thank you! Yes I must remember that. Too focused on the negatives at the moment. My mum, brothers and sisters are feeling pretty positive about it all so hopefully that will rub off on me.

I've heard that frozen embryos have a higher success rate. I hope now is your time x

Thank you. I've heard that too. I just wish I had more. Anyway I know I need to focus on the positives so I'm really going to try.
