Will this worry ever subside?

I'm 9 weeks pregnant today with twins and I have twinges on my right side....have had plenty sickness but hopefully slightly easing now. We are on holiday but I can't really do anything - can't eat much, feel exhausted after a dog walk! But mainly I feel anxious that after everything and getting this far, finding out it's twins that things can still go wrong! They are so precious to me, I'm desperate for nothing to go wrong! Scan isn't til 13+5, which feels a long way off! Xxx

I don't think the worry goes away. Perhaps you could book yourself a private scan before the 13+5? Just to give you some reassurance xx

I've just emailed a local clinic for about 9 days time so I'll be over 10 weeks - need some reassurance and going to have a super easy day today after the twinges all night! Thanks 😘 xxx

Hi I am 11+5 and I feel the same a constant worry! This is my second baby and miscarried inbetween and I know I panicked with my son and more this time after the miscarriage, I had a private scan at 10+3 as was having the NIPT test and came with the package and seeing the baby looking like a baby def put my mind at ease! So I highly recommend xx

Hi robbie03. Oh dear! Let's look at what is happening now. Your twins are 9/40 wks old now, so you're slightly larger than normal womb, is starting to stretch upwards and sideways. This starts to tug on your Broad ligaments either side. They've not been used before, so often are uncomfortable when they start stretching. This will probably go on until you are 12/40wks at least, until the top of your womb peeps over your pubic bone and starts to move up gently out of the pelvis. So much going on in their first 12/40wks of development, so just try and relax when you can, and let's hope your next scan will reassure you. All sounding pretty normal to me at the moment. Take care and I'm thinking of you. Diane

Hi robbie03. That's a pleasure, but I doubt you will stop worrying until you get over your first trimester. Take care. Diane
