So 9 eggs in total this time and again the whole private experience is kicking the ass out the NHS. ..sorry..I am not ungrateful to our previous two gos on the NHS but feel this is much more individual and people are giving us their time in bucket loads and presenting us with info and options at every point. So we decided to do icsi/ivf split and from 9 3 were not mature enough for icsi so we left with 3 for ivf and 3 for icsi and have to call embryologist now at 9.30am tomorrow who we are on first name terms with..lol. I feel positive and optimistic that we trying different things and hopefully this is our time..love to all on here xxx
Biggest crop so far ππ: So 9 eggs in... - Fertility Network UK
Biggest crop so far ππ
Sounds great vic.βΊ what do you mean by 3 for ivf, 3 for icsi? Xx
They gave us the option of trying both ivf and icsi so our last clinic only offered icsi as ivf wasn't an option they said however no issue with sperm for us so given more eggs they going to try three of them with ivf and the other three with icsi..an option never presented to us before x
Hello lovely, this sounds very positive. Hope your well ππ xxx
Great news Vic. I hope all do well π€ xx
This is excellent news! So so pleased for you x
Thanks hun..you ok? Xx
Im ok thanks just really scared about going back to a dark place I was before IVF. Ive been that wrapped up in the process of treatment but now it's literally just the test and a positive or a negative and there's nothing more I can do. I feel abit helpless! But you don't need to hear my negativity! I know people have been through alot worse than me. So pleased your cycle is so promising. Go short protocol! βΊ good luck for call tomorrow x
There is nothing more you can do but you must try to remain positive although the odd slip to the negative side is normal and understandable and all emotions allowed on here at anytime..so far I am all for short protocol πxx
Thank you. Ps. I read you got a breakfast menu lol. I want your clinic. We are private too but just got a cheese and pickle sandwich lol! Wishing you all the best for tomorrow x
That's great news, fingers crossed for tomorrow x
Oh that is very good newsπThe name thing was one of the things I liked about the private experience and whenever we went to the clinic they always remembered our names (not sure how lol)
Yeah and I got a menu with breakfast optionsπxx
I spent ages reading that menu the other week, some of the options were more exotic than a restaurant. It was my OH who was the patient but they offered me the chance to 'dine with him'. I declined and had a subwayπππ
Great numbers! Everything crossed for you π€π€π€xx
Brilliant news Vic, nice number to start off with!! Fingers crossed for tomorrow!!xx
Great news, fingers crossed for next stages xx
I want to congratulate you on making the right steps for your and your family.
From my experience I did not have the chance from the very beginning to get to a specialist who whould help me. But right now, I am in the right hands. I am so glad that you are feeling positive, and I send you all my support.
I know that people from this community start to help each other which is admirable. Thank you for sharing your story so that you can inspire others to follow their dreams.
Send you the best wishes and hugs.
Well done Vic! Great result ππ³ xxx
That's brilliant hun, I have to say my two friends had to pay private for there ivf and the way they got treated compare to me going through the NHS was completely different, so I'm hoping when I've saved the money up then we can look to get booked and hope that it will be different to the last time. I hope you are well xxx
brilliant news - so delighted for you both. i've not been on here much, but you've been in my thoughts.
you sound in a really great frame of mind - keep it up!
sending love & positive vibes

That's amazing. Lots of baby dust your way β¨β¨β¨ Do you mind me asking how much you have to pay in total for your private cycle?
That's great news, fingers crossed for you xxx
That's great! What's the difference between suitable for IVF v icsi? My clinic do icsi as standard but does that mean some of my mature eggs might not be used? I haven't started yet, just waiting on af as I'm going to be on short protocol X
If you at Glasgow they only do icsi..say they have better success rates with icsi.icsi normally when there is an issue with sperm as they select sperm and inject it into egg.ivf is old school put egg in dish with sperm and let nature take its course hopefully so we decided to try both. At Glasgow they will inject every mature egg xx
HI Vic77 - which Glasgow clinic did you go to? We are at GCRM! (well we will be again in October - 3rd time lucky!)
We are at nuffield..can't fault them so far x
Any news Vic?xx
Yes soooooo happyπ2 of our ivf fertilised and all 3 icsi. The 3rd ivf egg my dh sperm was way too keen and two tried to break thruπI got a really good feeling about thisπthanks for asking xx
9 eggs, and 6 viable, that's great! I hope the news is good this morning x
I had a completely different experience. Nearly took the private clinic to court! NHS were fab (and I don't normally like the NHS!!)
