Good luck Ems83. We are two wait week twins! I had my embryo transfer this morning as well. This is my second IVF cycle. Fortunately our embryo had reached Blastocyst stage this time. How many did you have transferred? xx

Hi Emily, this is my first cycle, NHS !! Its different with each clinic and situation but they would only ever do 1 with myself in Edinburgh x

Ours is NHS too. They recommended we transfer one this time as well, although they did recommend two last time. x

What is the difference between embryo and blastocyst? Is blastocyst an older embryo due to more cells? Do clinics normally wait for blastocyst stage? Good luck xxxxxxx

Blastocyst is the next stage of the embryo. My understanding is that they reach this stage at day 5-6. Ive found this online for you which gives you a lot of information but it is definitely worth asking your clinic for more information. yourivfjourney.com/blastocy...

Yeah ! Its totally different up here. Tbh even each clinic is different. Situation, age etc. I know nothing about some of the drugs I hear about lol. I was on the contraseptive pill for so many days then bumfola injections then citrezine if that's spelt right xx
