Start my injections today, decided to do them in the evening 6pm as mornings are very rushed for me!
Feeling very nervous about doing it now that the day is finally here! just hoping i do it right and everything goes okay!
Just for clarification when did everyone stop drinking?? I went out last night for a "last night of normality session" feeling a bit worse for wear this morning at work!!
Good luck on what ever stage in this process you all are! Baby dust to all!! xx

You will be fine, I started last week and easier than I thought. I'm not really a drinker so last one was on holiday in June. Have to have cocktails on holiday. Best of luck xx
Thank you! yeah im hoping that as soon as ive done the first one it will be okay, im fine with blood tests ect i watch them do it so its just the thought of myself doing it!x
Good luck, the first one was nerve wracking but after a couple of days it becomes second nature. We are now 3 weeks of Buserelin and day 2 of Menopur. Are you going to inject in your thigh or tummy? I've been using both legs but keep finding tough patches from previous days now. Might have to start using tummy too.
I had a last hurrah for my birthday in may...the prosecco cravings are very real!
Yeah that's what im thinking just nervy that im doing it to myself! I got told top inject in my thigh so gonna do that if i need to change to my tummy i will as well oh so ive left it quite late then to have my last session hahah!! Yeah i can imagine! im not a massive drinker but i think because im not allowed i will find i want to even more lol! i keep thinking its not even 9 months its more like 11/12 months no drinking for!xx
haha, I completely agree. Barely drunk for the past 2 years but when we got the start date felt like I needed to do it one last time. I have a bag of pink champagne truffles for those weak moments. Hope your first injection went well x
I had to do my buserelin in the morning but I think every clinic is different. I injected into my tummy and was nowhere near as bad as what I thought it would be. Someone on here recommended saying 1,2,3, go... it worked for me every time! I made sure that I pinched myself very hard though. Good luck cx
Hope it went ok. I start mine tomorrow & getting nervous about getting it right too. I've been told to do them between 9 and 10pm.
I stopped drinking a few weeks ago. Also recently given up caffeine which is actually more difficult for me. I don't drink coffee but I usually have way too much Diet Coke etc!
So the first injection i turned into a crying baby! sat on the sofa for about 10 mins like nooo i cant do it! finally done it and it was fine didn't hurt so i was ready and confident for the next day ... next day come and i realized i used the wrong needle! panic set in, and i was shouting at my other half thinking i had messed the whole thing up ( i thought the liquid was already in the needle then i was thinking shit what did i use on the Friday! if i had just taken a breath calmed down and actually looked i would have known it was just a different needle!!) Anyway whilst panicking and shouting at my other half i decided to call care and double check ... then realized my mistake but i didn't hang up so they called me today to explain they heard my voicemail and to make sure i was okay!! Very embarrassed this morning i was!
Yeah the nurse teach lesson went really well she said i was really good at it so should have no problem, it is still a bit nerve racking but i think thats just because we dont want to get it wrong! she gives you instruction sheets as well to take home with you when is your lesson?X
we have a while to go yet, We have an appointment on Friday and then looking to start in November as get married in October. Are you on a long or short protocol. How is that decided? xx
Oh okay, well best of luck for when its all starting and i also hope you have a fab wedding!! Im on Long protocol im not to sure how its decided to be fair i think they say long protocol is better because of the stage of the eggs when they are transferred back but im not 100% how they decide maybe its down to what the actual problem is, but if all goes well i should find out if it has worked or not by the second week of October xx
