lubion injections

Hi,

I’ve read a couple of the posts already on this. But I’ve done lubion injections previously and they had me do them intramuscular (in the bum). This time this different clinic have said they’re subcutaneous, so I did last nights in my belly. It’s not next morning and it’s still hurting so much - to the extent that I can’t bend or move without it hurting. The night before I used the thicker green needle to inject into bum. Last night I used the thinner grey needle to inject into belly. I know some people inject into thigh - don’t think I’m brave enough for that. But am I using the correct needle? And do people do it intramuscular or subcutaneously?

thanks!

Yes I injected mine into my stomach using a thin grey needle 27G. I sometimes found they’d hurt for a bit afterwards but they weren’t that bad. I tried it in my thigh once (never again) and it stung all day and the next day so went back to my stomach.

I found doing it in stomach so painful, like it would be agony for about 3 days until it calmed down so always found the thighs much easier (subcut). It still can be painful sometimes but it helps afterwards to rub it really vigorously for 5 mins I find. Hope you find the place for you xx

Thank you, whereabouts in your thigh did you inject? Inner thigh or outer?

I do it on outer or just front of thigh, usually find the thicker the skin when you pinch it the better. If it seems very thin I go somewhere else and just alternate legs. Definitely make sure you rub it though otherwise I found it was painful where ever I put it! Good luck 🤞

I also used the yellow (26G) tiny needles for it!

I find using ice on my stomach before injecting it helps with the bruising. I’m on lubion and a blood thinner and starting to run out of spaces because of the bruising the blood thinner creates. I’ve tried my leg but it doesn’t work as well for me there. 100% use the smaller needle. Good luck xxx

hi lovely, I hope you’re well. Mine were subcutaneous I applied them in the belly with a thin needle and unfortunately they do hurt afterwards for a day or so, I also got a bump on the application area a few times, I wrote a post and the lovely ladies in here advised to warm the vial against your body before applying , injecting really slowly and rubbing the area afterwards. Also to pinch into taut for application, is very important to alternate sides and inject in different places. Wishing you all the best of luck in your journey, I hope the injections get better xx
