25mcg is the lowest starter dose, moving up in 25 increments until your below 2. it needs to be under control to sustain a pregnancy, we found out the hard way ☹ its an easy fix, and eventually i did get a baby out of it when it was under control. Have you had your antibodies tested? X
I too found out the hard way about thyroid problems . It was mentioned that was the leading cause for my losses. I am now on 50mg just been increased . Xx
I was on 25mg for three months before starting treatment, my Consultant said to increase the dose once pregnant .... no one mentioned a level of 2 needed before it just had to be within normal range. If anyone has advice on if I should increase now please let me know.
Everywhere i read and even my Gp just now said it shud b between 1-2 for conception. Spk to ur dr hun xx
You should have blood test every 6 weeks, and the dose is usually increased by 25mcg, have the blood test as early as possible and fast-water only-do not take your dose of thyroxine until after test.
You should be taking it on empty stomach with a glass of water and leave a couple of hours before eating. You also need to make sure your levels of D3, K2,B12, B3, C, Selenium, Magnesium, Ferritin and Folate are at optimum levels. Most doctors don't have a clue about Thyroid and nutrition! It is also recommended to be gluten free. They also don't do a complete test-you really need T4 (thyroxine)and T3 (triodothyronine )testing, T4 has to convert to T3 to become active. Ask for print outs of all your tests with the ranges, very often you will be told they are 'normal' when in fact they are at the bottom of the range and you need them at the top! To feel well you need the TSH to be below 1. Please do log onto the thyroid forum where you can get much more detailed info and lots of excellent advice-it's very supportive just as this one is 😊 They will ask you to post your results and will explain them and advise, sorry if this is bit long-there is so much you need to know ! Love and hugs xox
