Hey Guys I'm Wondering If Anyone Can Help Me I'm On My 2ww My Test Date Is Next Week. Can My Period Still Come While On It?? My Period Is Due Round About Just Now xx

Hi there, I came on my period 11 days after 5day transfer. From what I've been reading some women do, some don't. But this was only my first cycle so I'm not sure how common it is to have period while still taking the progesterone. Good luck though. Xxx

Hi. The progesterone is there to support a pregnancy if conception takes place. This increase in progesterone is what stops a period coming in a natural cycle. In an ivf cycle it does the same job unless conception hasn't occurred. In some cycles even if conception/implantation hasn't occurred your period may still be delayed by the progesterone. Sometimes however, your period will arrive despite being on progesterone. Hope that helps. x

No probs. To be honest it's incredibly difficult to decipher between a period and early pregnancy signs. I should just wait until your otd. Good luck. x
