Hi PCOS ladies, I've read that D-Chiro-Inositol and Myo-inositol are good for women with Pcos but I can't seem to see where I would buy this? Is anyone able to help? There's a US one which combines the two called Ovasitol...not sure whether this is legit and concerned to order anything from overseas quite frankly as I'm not confident about the origin. Any help appreciated!

Hi, I don't have PCOS but I'm slightly overweight (when I say slightly I mean about 2 stone!!!!) After our failed IVF cycle, our doctor recommended that we try Inofolic which is designed for women with PCOS but can help overweight women too. They are UK based with a next day delivery & it's just a sachet twice a day. Important thing is - there are no side effects from this. We're currently just started our second cycle so not sure it it's worked yet.
I was told to take inofolic too! Xx
I just buy mine on Amazon! Myo-inosotol is usually labeled as just Inositol, I get a tub of it in powdered form once a month. They also have the other but I have not personally bought or used that one.
I also found metformin really helped, made very clear differences to my cycles and my weight... Two years on it and I lost 50kg without really any effort. I am forever grateful I was put on it.
Thank you ladies! I really appreciate the advice- was Metformin prescribed?
Yes, given by my gynecologist, mainly because I had complex hyperplasia and kept having to use northisterone to cause a bleed every 90 days as I just wasn't cycling most the time... So after a few years of this it was suggested I try metformin and it made a huge difference as I said I lost weight, I even got pregnant twice but sadly miscarried. Paid for an endocrinologist to look into it as I kept noticing my tsh (thyroid stimulating hormone ) level was on the higher side but kept being told it was fine. Turns out while generally it should just be under 5, it needs to be under 2 if you are trying to get pregnant or are. So started levothyroxine for that this February, now I am 21 weeks pregnant. I really do believe that without the metformin, Inositol, and levothyroxine I really wouldn't be here.
I really would suggest talking it over with a doctor and trying to get it, if it's no help ah well, but for me the change was major! And worth getting them to check things like thyroid levels too!!
Hi I have Pcos and was told not to take anything without asking lol my consultant recommended something called inofolic, I haven't tried it as I don't like to buy medicine off the internet, but I never heard of the medicine you want to purchase, before you get them ask your clinic about them first xxxx
