2WW and stress 😩

Hi all

I am currently on day 2 of a 5 day transfer. Two embryos transferred. I received some really bad news yesterday (afternoon/evening of my transfer) and have been really anxious and upset ever since. I'm adding additional stress because I'm worrying that my feelings are preventing any chance of this cycle working.

Does anybody know how much of an impact stress has and if there's anything I can do to help it? I'm a naturally anxious person anyway but it feels heightened on this occasion.

Xx

Just read your post and knew I must reply!! I was on day 4 of my 2WW when one of our beloved pets suddenly got ill and had to be put to sleep. It was very traumatic and I am not lying when I say I cried so hard I couldn't breath. My partner kept saying calm down, it wont do Emby any good. I really tried but couldnt help it and spent about 3 days solid crying my eyes out. I really thought I had ruined my cycle and there was no way the little one could survive all that. Well 4 days later I did an early test at 8dp5dt and it was positive! I am now 5+5 and all is good. You do need to try and relax but trust me if it is going to work there is not much you could do to stop it. Sending big hugs and lots of luck xxx

Thank you so so much for this reply. It has helped me so much. ❀️ I have been crying on and off since yesterday evening and getting horrible anxiety butterflies in my tummy and chest. I'm trying really hard to keep stress down but I just keep getting so upset.

It is so comforting to know that I might not be doing lasting damage and there is a possibility it could still work 🀞🏼🀞🏼

Thank you again for giving me some hope and I wish you the very best for your pregnancy. Huge congratulations πŸ‘πŸ½πŸŽ‰β€οΈ

Hi Kloulou83. Oh dear, I do understand how confusing everything gets while waiting during the 2WW. Just wondered whether treating yourself to a nice relaxation CD might help. Listen to it in the evening and before bedtime, as they often help. On the plus side, many ladies who get stressed still go on to have positive pregnancies and births, so fingers crossed for you. Thanks Diane. I feel much better today and have been doing some Headspace meditation and went for Acupuncture which has helped relax me. Hopefully I won't have done any damage.
