Hcg levels

Managed to persuade my doctors to test my HCG for reassurance as my clinic just relies on pee test and books you on for the first scan. I was anxious and didn't want to wait the 2 and a half weeks. My levels were 4981 at 4+6 weeks pregnant is this good? Doubt they will retest although I no you need to check it again in a few days but just wanted to no if the numbers were on track?

Hi AllyBell did you just go to your normal GP and request this? Im thinking of going to register my pregnancy with the GP so was thinking of asking about a HCG test too as my clinic just relies on a home pregnancy test. Feeling like its ages to wait another 2 and a bit weeks for my scan. I have done several tests now and can see the line becoming darker. xx

Hi bluebells1 yes I went it and spoke to the receptionist. they are very familiar with me and my history so we're very quick to try and give me reassurance- I waited and the nurse took my blood that day. Defo worth asking explain ur anxiety and that it's ivf. Also get booked in with the midwife now as there's generally a wait! Push to see her at 8 weeks as they usually say 10( learning from previous experience and past miscarriage) good luck! Xx
