In need of some hope after 7 days of stims

This is my first post although I have stalking this group for a while. I am on my first cycle. Just been for our scan after 7 day of stims and I'm pretty devastated. We have four follicles 10 or above (3x 10 & 1x 11) and two small ones under 10. I have low amh of 10. We have to scan again on Wednesday but feeling pretty hopeless right now. Has anyone had similar and had miracle growth spurt before EC? Thanks x

You would be amazed at how things can change and it sounds like they are all developing together so you get a little bundle of follicles. I had warm baths (perhaps not the best at this time of the year) but heat is supposed to help and remember to drink lots of water and eat plenty protein! They wont plan EC until your lead follicles are a bit bigger so dont worry about time!xx

Thanks for replying Cinderella5. I really hope you are right. I think I will be heading to the shops straight after work to stock up on protein and bubble bath!

I've got low amh of 3.4 and I had three at 9,11 and 12. I ended up with four eggs being collected (not sure where the other appeared from)and three fertilised so it's amazing how much they change. You don't want them too big at this point as they over mature. My biggest got to 22mm by the last scan. I think you're doing really well and they sound good to me. It's quality not quantity. X

Thanks Jacs0008. That's sounds positive that 3 out of four fertilized. I think what is worrying me is the stats on the number of eggs collected that fertilise and then the number that go on to reach day 3 or blastocyst stage. It seems people lose a few at each stage and with such low low numbers the odds don't seem great. Just got to work on my positive mental attitude!

I was the same looking at statistics. However we had a five day blastocyst transferred on Monday that was grade ab so really good. We are waiting to hear if the other two were frozen but all ours made it past day three. We beat all the odds and I'm 39 with worse amh so try not to focus on the figures on the internet as I didn't lose any of the few I had xx

Hey hun

I have no advice but just wanted to wish you luck and send you some positive vibes. I'm on my 1st cycle, day 2 of stims and an amh of 8. It sounds like we are in a similar boat! I've got my 1st scan on weds. Wishing you a world of luck and let me know how you get on xx

The same happened to me on my first round. Left side produced a few small folicles but my right ovary never even started. We decided to abandon the cycle. Next time my drugs were changed to higher dose and had a new drug introduced and bingo!!! We didn't succeed in our fresh transfer and has bfn but we had some frozen embryos and had a natural cycle and now one week away from our first scan. Sometimes we have to do things the hard way but you will get there either this time or soon after. Fingers crossed for a growth spurt xx

Thanks for responding. Congratulations! It's good to hear positive stories 😊

I'm on the highest dose of merional. The dr said that there was no point increasing it as it wouldn't make a difference but maybe a different combination would help. It's an NHS cycle so I wonder if the type of drugs they can give us are limited...

Just wanted to give a wee update. I had my second scan today. My follicles have grown to 17, 16, 15 & 15. I also have a 14 & 12 plus some other little ones. They have said I won't be ready for egg collection on Friday. Got another scanned booked for Friday and fingers crossed for EC on Monday. Any tips for increasing lining? Only 5.5mm as of today. Thanks

That's great news that your follicles have come on. There proabably isnt much you can do to improve lining but this grows as your follicles do so there is still time for it to thicken up if EC isnt planned until Monday!xx
