I just wanted to reassure you that things really can change so it’s not always as straight forward as it seems!
I had an AMH of 6.3 about 18 months ago so I’m sure it’s less now, I’m 37. We are in the middle of cycle 3 now. After 7 days of stims there were 3 follicles so I was really disappointed. Two days later they had grown lots plus some of the smaller follicles they didn’t even register had started to grow too. Fast forward to today, I’ve been on stims for 14 days, two of the initial follicles got too big so we’re out of the running but more smaller ones grew and we’ve just had 6 eggs collected! I didn’t even know that was a possibility!
Keep taking a day at a time, just know anything can happen.
Fingers crossed for good news at your next scan xx
It sounds like we have had a very similar situation. I honestly thought that the initial amount of follicles was all I could possibly have but things did change. I was on 300iu too and they kept it at that, just waited a bit longer.
I don’t know how well they will fertilise yet but I never expected to be sat here having had 6 eggs collected at that first scan.
Try and stay positive, wishing you lots and lots of luck xx
Yes fingers crossed for you, there’s just no telling what is going to happen (I’ve given up guessing!) but hopefully you feel reassured that things may change. If they don’t though and you carry on with two follicles, one of those may be your baby, the numbers don’t have a bearing on quality so keep picturing that little fighter in there!
We get an update call Sunday so I’ve got two more days of the agonising wait!
It will be an agonising wait for you but I’ll be thinking about you and praying you get some good news on Sunday.
Do you think they would carry on with me only having 2 follicles? I’ve been reading online that some people have had cycles cancelled with fewer than 3! I probably should’ve asked at the time but she did say they’d be likely to be looking at EC next Wed so I’m hoping they would go ahead. I just hate all this uncertainty and waiting!
Anyway, thanks for listening to my rambling and thanks again for all your well wishes. Really means a lot 😊
Best of luck and try to relax over the weekend, easier said than done, I know! Xx
This sounds very similar to mine. And I too was expecting more so can understand how your feeling now but please try stay positive although I know this is very hard.
I had one that was about 15-16mm and a couple that was about 10-12 and a few that we’re too small.
I had to continue with the injections for another two days.
I also have a AMH of 6.2.
On egg collect they got two good quality eggs. One of them successfully fertilised and I am due for my test tomorrow.
I don’t know what your clinics process is but they have kept you going now so hopefully they will continue. I’ll be sending you lots of positive vibes xx
Thank you ❤️ They’ve just called to say they want me back for a scan on Sunday as they want to check the 2 larger follicles. One is 15mm and one is 14mm. She said if they get to 18mm by Sunday they might book me in for EC on Tues.
Hi, which FSH drugs are you on was it Menopur or Gonal F? I was just interested to know as I had similar results back in March, we went ahead with 2 follicles and just hoped to get 2 eggs, ended up with 1 😕. I since discovered my previous 2 BFPs I had got I had been on Gonal F and had excellent results each time. That last time they felt due to age I needed Menopur to help with quality and I had the worst results as only 2 out of 8 follicles responded. In past I’ve had 8. To be honest I never took much notice of the different brands until things started going wrong for us. Anyway we are about to try again this time with gonal F. I was bit mad they changed something that clearly had worked for me in the past. I know everyone is different. Wishing you all the luck over the weekend x
