I'm so cross! On Facebook I see a post from Bristol post local news site that our clinic the BCRM that we have been on the waiting list for 18 months is closing in November this year?!
They say all patients are informed? But we haven't been? those currently having treatment or starting will be fine but what about us lot on DE waiting list?! I've emailed them tonight but will call tomorrow as well.
We have our last NHS cycle to do and after our first with my eggs we realised we needed DE so they agreed to fund a DE cycle. I have been calling them for updates and told them I'm 40 in September (over the max age) but they have said all along it's fine as already on waiting list.
I'm so angry they didn't think to tell us before publicising it?! Or am I over reacting?

We had a similiar experience. We were ready to start our first IVF cylce in january but they withdrew IVF treatment over the Christmas. We were fast tracked at a different hospital but we still had to wait a further 4/5 months before we started our first cycle. We also found out from the local paper - as did some of the staff.
Hope you get sorted x
You have every right to be angry especially as it's not even them that have let you know. Hopefully they will make other arrangements for you st another clinic but defo chase them up xx
We are with BCRM & received a letter on Saturday. I would attach a picture to this reply but not sure how to do it. I had an appointment on Monday & asked a nurse about it. Apparently the trustees are pulling all funding so they can't afford to continue. If they cannot find another trust then it will close in November patients will be transferred to another clinic & the staff also loose their jobs. It's so sad.
I don't know why you haven't received a letter. I would call them & tell them you haven't been informed.
I received a letter from them and I haven't been under their care since August 2016 - I expect your letter got lost in the darn post. I hope will stay on track for you and you get your treatment soon xx
To me this reads that as you are already on the waiting list you will be transfered to a different provider if you have not been treated by BCRM before they close in November. There is a contact number and email address included on the statement. Best thing would be to email them to get confirmation that you will receive your final DE cycle either with them or with another NHS provider.
Thank you for replys ive calmed down a bit now and reading more I would hope we will be ok and transferred I have emailed them and will call them later. I will put reply on here so the thread has an answer x
We've just posted on our Facebook page information about this if anyone has been affected please get in contact with our Media Relations Officer - Catherine Hill: media@fertilitynetworkuk.org
Hi. We get 2 part funded cycles. Because it's surrogacy it is different as only IVF funding is available. My sister and her husband pay the costs of the drugs etc that I need for the surrogacy, hope this helps.
