Just started round one of Clomid last night. Apart from a pretty bad head this morning I'm feeling ok. It's a weird feeling when you really want to be pregnant but your period comes, insult to injury really, but then taking the Clomid I feel as though I've got a slightly better chance of conceiving this month. Hospital said if I do catch I have to phone them straight away and go for a scan and start Progesterone injections.
Have any of you lovely ladies gotten pregnant on Clomid?
This is our last ditch attempt before trying egg donation. Praying this will work.
A friend of a friend was on clomid. She fell pregnant first month taking it but sadly baby had no heart beat at 12 week scan, they said they think it stopped around 8 weeks. She's now 6 weeks pregnant after using clomid again for around 5 months so it definitely does work. Good luck xxx
I'm waiting for AF to start my first round of clomid. I have a blood test form to have bloods done at day 21. My consultant mentioned another scan (looking at follicles I think?) again around day 21 but I haven't had that appointment through or even an invitation to the appointment like they can do. I'm thinking I'll need to call them to see if/when I need to be scanned. Do you have some further tests seeing as it's your first time? And do you have any follow up treatment considered if you do fall pregnant?
I'm so glad to have something to start on but now I'm getting closer to taking clomid my mind keeps thinking up questions! Good luck! Xxx
This is my second day of my first cycle of Clomid. The consultant has said if I catch pregnant I have to phone the hospital straight away and go for a scan and then they will give me progesterone injections. I seem to have trouble keeping them when I catch. He thinks my best chance is egg donation but I'm giving the Clomid three cycles.
I was a little nervous taking the Clomid but bit the bullet and so far so good! Like you though I have lots of questions.
Ahh good luck! I'm glad they're ready and waiting for you if successful to try and help a pregnancy along. Unfortunately I don't have regular periods so I'm waiting for something to just happen! I'm hoping then clomid will either help with regularity if not successful on the conception front. Are you on 50mg? How soon will you test after taking clomid xxx
Ahh that makes sense, let me know how you get on. I'm feeling start of some lady cramps today so I'm hoping I'll be taking my first clomid tablet soon! Xxx
I hope everything goes well for you. I did a LH test this morning out of interest and it was a positive but not as dark as the control line. Someone mentioned the tests aren't always accurate when using Clomid. I'm not sure when to start TTC then. I'm thinking frequently is a good start! Lol. X
It's funny you've just said that, I've just arrived home having driven to Boots to work and pondered over the ovulation kits. I couldn't decide on whether or not to buy any having heard mixed reviews. Please let me know how you get on! I think frequently is a good idea, but as my doctor said to me at least 1 day of rest in between to allow the sperm stock to replenish the high quality swimmers! Good luck xxx
Yes check out my other posts! 3 years of unexplained infertility 2nd round of clomid bam twins 🙈🙈. Think it also depends on any other issues going on too. Got a good feeling for you xx
