PCOS troubles.

Hi, ladies. I was diagnosed with PCOS in my early teens. Actually, it happened when I was 13 years old. I used to be a little bit fat with irregular periods and my mum took me to the doctor. They did an ultrasound check and the doctor said the main reason why I didn’t have regular periods was PCOS. I took some medicines to normalize my menstrual cycle. This is all what I did to treat my PCOS. Now, I’m nearly 34. My hubby and I think it’s time for us to become parents. We’ve been TTC for nearly 2 years without any positive result. My doctor prescribed me metformin. It did helped me to reduce my weight. However, I’m not pregnant yet. I’ve consulted one more specialist. She told me that if metformin didn’t work, I might try with clomid or an ovarian drilling. Finally, I can try my hands with DE IVF. So ladies, how did you manage to conceive? Please share your stories with me…

Hi, dear! I’m really sorry to hear about your struggles of getting pregnant. However, you shouldn’t give up by any means. There are quite a lot of women who managed to conceive after they have been diagnosed with PCOS. For me, ED is the last I would do. Why don’t you want try clomid and an ovarian drilling? They might give you a good result.

Hi! If I were in your shoes, DE IVF will be the last thing I would do. I think this way of fertility treatment should be used only when you have tried all others and they didn’t work. It’s a big challenge both for your mind and body. I have also PCOS and I managed to conceive after having reduced my weight. It took me nearly a year to achieve this. However, now I’m a mum. Maybe, you should also start with reducing your weight first???

I think all depends on how tough actually your PCOS is. I know that there are quite a lot of women who managed to conceive after having reduced some weight. There are also some ladies who managed to conceive after taking metformin or ovarian drilling. I should say that nothing worked well with me. I took metformin and had an ovarian drilling, but I didn’t manage to conceive. The RE I consulted told me that I might have oocytes of a very bad quality. I did DE IVF and managed to conceive after the second shot.

Hi, mettle! Nice to meet you, hun! I’m really happy about you. I think we will also do DE IVF only if nothing works with us. At present, we are trying our best to conceive naturally. Hun, could please share some tips on how to choose a fertility clinic. I surfed the internet the other days. There are quite a lot of offers there. All clinics seem to be the best, so it’s quite difficult to make a final decision…
