Another twin update 💖💖 *incl. scan photo*

Thank you for those reaching out to me and asking how my girls are, I've been slightly reluctant to post another update. I know quite a few want to see a complete journey but the recent setbacks and tragedies for many have made me quiet, reflective and sad. I had my latest scan on Wednesday at 13+2 and both girls are strong and happy ❤ My twin 1 little hellraiser lol is still dominant, pushing herself to the forefront on my left side and making herself seen. Twin 2 is keeping herself to herself, waving her little hands and legs while lying on her belly, refusing to turn around for the camera! All measurements and test are normal (relief!!). Everyone keeps telling me what a wonderful miracle it is to have them and don't I know it!! Every day is a blessing despite insomnia, terrible back pain and massive bump that leaves everyone speechless 🙈 Being pregnant is not always easy and I'm eternally grateful for those supporting me here and elsewhere, and I love my girls and hope they will continue to grow happily inside of me until the time is right for us to meet ❤❤❤❤❤

Beautiful. I can only speak for myself when I say this but I hope I never make anyone feel that they can't share their happy news on here. I said it before my recent troubles and I'll say it again; these pictures fill me with hope xx

Nobody has and least of all you darling Tugsgirl. It is the tragedy and turmoil in here and around me that has made me more quiet and reserved, reflecting my fortune in peace and quiet. I haven't made any big announcements in Facebook, simply embracing each day as it comes. I'm utterly in love with my girls already xoxo

Love seeing positive updates like this!! Lovely of u to be sensitive to how people might feel but I truly think your story gives us hope and isn't that what most of us visit here for?

Aaw lovely - congratulations. Can I ask how you know they are girls at such an early stage?

Thank you! I had the Harmony test to test for Downs, Pataus and Edwards syndroms (the test can be done from 10weeks) and since they are examining the baby's DNA it is also possible to look for the existence of chromosome Y - if it's there, it's a boy, if not, it's a girl! With twins it is a bit different but it has been determined that they are both girls 😍

Oh wow - never heard of this test, is it something you have to pay extra for?

Yes only private - although NIPT was recommended also by NHS (because I'm over 40). They are much more accurate than the traditional NHS test xoxo

Hey Nesfin great to see pics. Sorry been bit quiet. Read some sad news on here recently which affected me deeply so I've been scared to log on to be honest.

Fab pictures. Glad they are both well. Sounds like they going to be very different characters. Sorry you not feeling great with insomnia and so on but hopefully it'll get bit better.

I'm 11 wks tomorrow. Waiting for 12 wk scan until I tell work and really have to dress strategically to cover it!

I've been affected by the heartache too, and wish I could somehow make it better but obviously it is not possible. I'm glad to hear about your progress and you're still able to cover it - no chance of that for me already for a long time!
