Officially stressing out - transfer on Thursday

Hi ladies,

So, I was quite happy with myself being relatively chilled out during the down reg , stimms and even EC (all things considered). Got 11 eggs, out of that 8 embryos next day and now hospital called saying 6 have developed ok but they d rather push to blastocyst as they would not be sure which ones would be the best...

i was told by my doc when we started that it would most likely be the case but now it s an extra 2 days and it freaks me out.

The embryologist said there would probably be 1 or 2 left, but obviously there is still that risk that they all stop developing.... I know that would probably mean they wouldn't be viable but still gets me thinking, what if....

Anyone else has had or is in the same situation?

Thks πŸ™πŸ»

I also had 11 eggs collected a few weeks ago and 6 made it to embryos. All 6 made it to day 4 but only 2 made it to day 5. I would put your trust in the docs personally and don't fret about it.xx

Hi, I had that happen, got to day 3 and we only had 3 embryos, and they wanted to do a freeze all round, so they wanted to push them all to day 5! The stress was immense but We agreed to it. I was so terrified none of them would survive. The call came and only one had, and was frozen, which was a whole other stress!!! But now that little one has been defrosted and popped back in, and I'm 4wks pregnant! So what I'm trying to say is trust the doctors, and that I totally understand how you feel, it's horrific you just want them back where they belong, but it only takes one! I hope you manage to put your feet up and try to relax xxx

Thanks!!! Always good to hear reassuring words. Such a nerve racking time, but it's only 1 more day to go πŸ˜–

I'm also still super bloated and tender tummy since EC... can't help but wonder if it's normal. I drink plenty of fluids and put my feet up quite a lot so not sure why it's still so uncomfortable.

Congrats on your pregnancy, that's fantastic news. Take care of yourself and the little peanut πŸ₯œ πŸ‘Ά

Thank you!! Don't worry about the bloats, it's horrid, but I remember mine was quite painful afterwards. The progesterone will also make you bloated which is delightful! Good luck, keeping my fingers crossed for you xx
