Shopping for baby clothes for my friends baby 😪

So our friend has just had a baby girl so nipped to get a present. How hard that was!! Really difficult trying to remember it's just an outfit and not to get emotional about thinking of having it not having our own baby

When my friend recently had a baby I bought a next voucher and flowers easier option as i couldnt face baby clothes xx

Totally understand with the shopping for friends/family babies. I'm now hoping all my friends and sisters are done having babies and hopefully be my turn next fingers crossed 🤞

Been there 😞 So many beautiful little outfits and they draw you in deeper and deeper and next thing you know you're stood there crying in the shop. X

I wasn't buying for a friend this time but just before my bfp I got sucked into the baby's clothing department at M&S while waiting for my Mum in the loos. I saw a beautiful little white fluffy coat. I'm a sucker for fluffy things, I love how they feel! So I'm stood there stroking this little coat, a tear rolling down my face and I promise my embie that if it's still in there it's having that coat! The next day was test day and I got my bfp. I've also got that coat 😊 x

Ah love it! I've bought my pram/ pushchair already (even though it's earlyish) and stored it at the mother in laws. I think it's important we focus on the end goal after waiting for so long xx

Got an amazon wish list with that stuff on but haven't bought anything big (only got the coat and a freebie cuddly toy for now) but after the 20 week mark I'm going shopping! With a vengeance 😊😊😊 🤞 X

I feel your pain. I had to buy a pressie in November just a month after our 2nd MC. My best friend is due next week and this would have been our due date also.....so I think I will take advice and send flowers with vouchers x

It is hard. A few tears ago when not having problems ttc I used to love going and choosing from all the cute wee outfits for presents for people but I never do it anymore. Too painful. I wish I could be ok with this stuff and put it to the side but I'm really not. One of the hardest things about this is what I miss out on and not being able to be fully there for friends. It sucks!!! Xx

It's so hard isn't it... I have had meltdowns in the car before now after shopping for baby clothes.... you will get there one day and then you'll have all the people that love you buying nice things for you and your little one xxxx
