hi, I had an egg collection this morning at 9 am. They got 17 eggs, will find out tomorrow if fertilized.

I feel a bit of dizziness and I'm starving. They told me not to eat yesterday evening.

The whole procedure passed fine and doc told I'm a good girl haha.

flowers, who with me?

So sweet hun. i hope you'll have no more side effects after ER. 17 is my favorite number haha. and it's a pretty great result , you must be young, right? I keep fingers crossed for a great number of perfect embies. btw, when is your ET? keep us updated 🐣

Probably I know your secret haha, right, I'm only 36 years old. And I had no stimulation before that's why the result is 17. Well, I suppose it would be on Tues. All depends on time and fertilization.

Go you! My egg collection is tomorrow morning, I was supposed to be at work today but I've taken a sick day. I'm bloaty and nervous. :( How was the actual procedure? Do you remember it happening? I'm keen to know how good this sedation actually is!

danysh13 profile image
danysh13 in reply toPandash

Partly, my clinic used sedation as the norm but the patients are completely asleep and not aware of what is happening and will have no pain or discomfort, at least until they wake up.

The same was with me. With my ec I had a gown and had to sit in a chair with stirrups. I remember watching the clock before I feel asleep and 15 minutes later I was back in a bed in the recovery room. Very speedy! I had a little discomfort after ec and spotting but nothing too bad. A piece of paper was left beside my bed with the number of eggs collected so was the first thing I saw when I came round.

Beforehand, I was told not to eat in the evening, no drinking just few sips in order to take my meds. And tha't all I suppose, no worries at all.

Wow great numbers, rest up ready for transfer x

thank you very much, sorry for missing your comment. I'm super excited right now. the embryo transfer has been passed well and the surrogate is feeling great(the manager told me about it).

we are waiting for the blood test confirms her pregnancy. it will be in 8 days. we are worried about it. at least we have some frozen embryos but honestly, I don't want to use them. once I read that fresh embryos are better than frozen.

But the doctor told me in case of fail the surrogate would be transferred my frozen embryos, what is better for us, because I won't be under stimulation again. I consider this is good news for us, especially for my health.

Hello good girl! very good news, thanks for sharing. I hope you're feeling better now and not starving any longer, haha. you need much strength to recover so eat well please.

17 eggs is a very good number, really good girl!

So how was fertilization? I hope many good healthy embryos received)

danysh13 in reply toKimDerr

thanks for asking. the doctor told that this is good for my age and health condition. they took 17 eggs, which is great. they supposed only 11 were good quality then only 8 were fertilized. so, they were able to freeze the rest f them in case this transfer doesn't work for our surrogate.

Hello again sweety! How are you doing now?

this is a pretty common thing for fertility specialists, they evaluate the retrieved egg cells and use only those that are of a better quality, sometimes it is a lot and sometimes it is not. it is great that you now have some frosties in case of a negative but I would expect the best outcome if we are talking about surrogacy :)

danysh13 profile image
danysh13 in reply toKimDerr

why, what's wrong with it? Am I bad, yes? Are my little embies are bad or what? I was reading that not all women can get pregnant form the first embryo transfer. it is a very difficult issue and depends on lots of reasons. anyway, I’m happy that my clinic was able to freeze my little beans haha.

oh, I don't think that surrogate has any issue that can cause bfn, because we were told they are healthy and there aren't worries about it. They all underwent lots of medicals so..

I'm happy and positive about our next try, don't want to talk about possible fails.

KimDerr profile image
KimDerr in reply todanysh13

oh no, I did not say that. I was just confirming that it is a common thing to use only the best embryos that are here plus some egg cells after the fertilization may not survive till the blastocyst stage which is normal so do not worry.

I am happy that you feel that way :)

danysh13 profile image
danysh13 in reply toKimDerr

oh, sorry I misunderstood you.. my doc told me about the possibility of fail but it's ok with me. I've read a lot of comments here and found out not all women could conceive from the first try.

I thought it was my bad but no, as you said it's is a common thing to use only the best embryo but as you see my best embryo didn't want to be with me :(

I hope my next one will implant

fingers crossed for it

p.s. how are you? how are your kids?

KimDerr profile image
KimDerr in reply todanysh13

They are doing fine, thank you! They are getting older and older with every month, I like watching them trying new things, it is a very hard challenge though for me but I am sure that I am a good mother and my precious husband is an amazing father.

You may request embryo glue! if they use this technique the chances are higher than ever that you embryos stick. :) There is no doubt that the next time is going be Yours!

That's great your kids are fine and you are happy with them.

Sorry, but how did you name them?

hi!

How are you now? It`s great that you feel good.

Was it for a surrogacy procedure? How many eggs can they take from you during one time?Is it painful? And for what is it?

It means that if you healthy you can donor your own eggs for surrogacy?

Sorry for the big amount of questions.. But if it is not difficult can you explain in what ways my own eggs can be unsuitable for surrogacy?

I always afraid doctors and medical procedures. Now I screening in my Italian clinic. And I feel so uncomfortable...

Thanks!
