Thanks for the reply!

Can I ask you something? Why did you choose to go abroad in the first place? Thanks.

jhza700 profile image
jhza700 in reply to godknowseverything

Hi

One of the main factors was price, it's half the price of the uk. Also how easy it was to get there; flights from the U.K.

Then I started to research clinics, as I think there are many fantastic clinics around the world. Have a look at the "fertilityfriends " forum. It has an international board with ladies discussing their clinics.

Good luck

Hope that helps

godknowseverything in reply to jhza700

I see, thanks, I am from US so it is a bit more difficult like to find a flight from here to anywhere haha if we are talking about those countries that actually do provide surrogacy programs (as for me it is the main interested)

i haven't heard of that forum yet. you say there are a lot of women who can advise me on it.

thank you!

This is a link to the forum, and if I have copied it correctly it will be the surrogacy board.

Thank you a lot.

I went to Greece and was successful on first attemp but sadly lost him at 17 weeks.

Failed second attempt yesterday and going for our final and very last attempt again shortly.

godknowseverything profile image
godknowseverything in reply to

I am really sorry! Hope you feel well right now!!

You are going to the clinic in Greece again?

If you don't mind, why did you choose to go abroad? And how did you choose the clinic and the country because there are a lot of them and I kind of feel lost.

in reply to godknowseverything

Well I started my journey sometime ago had a failed attempt many many moons ago and then left it met my hubby and we decided to start again.

I have had 3 miscarries all at the early stage including 1 ectopic where I lost left tube and my right tube is blocked.

3 failed cycles of ivf in the UK

1 x successful cycle in Greece but lost him and 17 week

1 x failed cycle in Greece

We choose greece because of the service we felt and the great attention to details we received other cl8nics abroad were not as welcoming and did make us feel positive. They are a great clinic if i had researched then before all the other cycles would probably have had my miricle by now.

godknowseverything profile image
godknowseverything in reply to

so you also went to other countries before you have chosen your clinic?

that's great that you are satisfied with your clinic! this is the most important part, but the reason I am looking for another clinic is the prices.... Like... I can't afford the treatment here in US, I am talking about surrogacy, but as I understand all of the clinics provide surrogacy programs as well as ivf programs? is that so?

x

in reply to godknowseverything

Hiya

Well the US is very costly than other countries but sometimes although cheaper abroad it is costly dependent on certain factors, i cant comment on surrogacy as i have not researched that option.

godknowseverything profile image
godknowseverything in reply to

I understand that's fine though. where did you find any infos on your clinic, maybe there were any site where you could read any like review on the clinic or maybe the lists of all the clinic in the world?

bethany2 profile image

I went to Ukraine as many others.

had there my first ever BFP even if we talk about surrogacy.

godknowseverything profile image
godknowseverything in reply to bethany2

You say that a lot of people go to Ukraine but I have never heard of any clinic in Ukraine. How did you even find out about them?

bethany2 profile image
bethany2 in reply to godknowseverything

on the internet. actually

there are lots of websites where you can see the list of the clinics that offer surrogacy or egg donation programs. I had compared a lot of clinics by their services and prices and have made the conclusion that one clinic in particular is the best out of all of them. on top of that I actually wrote to numerous clinics and some of them were not so nice in terms of like consultations.

so.

godknowseverything profile image
godknowseverything in reply to bethany2

so you say that Ukraine is the best in terms of prices? I mean like... there are a lot of clinic... and how much did you pay for your surrogacy program may I ask?

bethany2 profile image
bethany2 in reply to godknowseverything

As far as I know it is. You can check it out on the internet. It is very easy to do in our technological world.

I have paid 50k euros. For everything.

godknowseverything profile image
godknowseverything in reply to bethany2

it's expensive....

bethany2 profile image
bethany2 in reply to godknowseverything

Really?

hm

I don't think so. I think even that it is very cheap considering the services included.

godknowseverything profile image
godknowseverything in reply to bethany2

Why do you think so? what kind of services they provide with so you think that it is cheap&

bethany2 profile image
bethany2 in reply to godknowseverything

But yeah it is a bit complicated because the contracts my clinic offers are all the same except they are not.

I wrote that I have paid almost 50k and that is true but in reality I could've gone with 30k for the treatment itself. I have just paid for my own accommodation and for the future health care for my kids when we are in Ukraine. So basically that's why I have paid that much but in reality I do not think that even that vip contract is expensive you see when you are going to Ukraine you are going to be provided with the room, the car, interpreter services and all that kind of stuff which would cost you the fortune if it would be you who would've been charged for that kind of stuff.

godknowseverything profile image
godknowseverything in reply to bethany2

ok so after visiting a bunch of websites and reading their price lists and services lists I've made up my mind and now I honestly think that 50k is nothing. ok, it is still a lot but comparing to US prices O_O

i was just shocked, just killed by what I have seen. I do not understand how can surrogacy programs cost that much

anyways I am still trying to find a perfect option.

you have mentioned a contract of 30k.. is that like a half of the price or something?

bethany2 profile image
bethany2 in reply to godknowseverything

but 50 k is nothing.

i was sent their initial letter where they wrote all of the services that my VIP programs includes and basically with that amount of money I will be paying for everything.

no, you did not understand 30k is the price of the contract. the contract is basically the same as of 50k euros but in my case the clinic will be covering all of the unpredicted expenses but in the case of the 30k contract all bears the client.

this is not really what I know for sure but I just know that those 50k is the only amount of money I am going to be paying.

godknowseverything profile image
godknowseverything in reply to bethany2

what do you man for everything?

ok I got that but I suppose that 30k contract includes only medical procedures and I will have to look for a surrogate and pay her money by myself?

yeah thanks I got that

bethany2 profile image
bethany2 in reply to godknowseverything

no! ok. I see that it may be a bit difficult to understand or something.

you better go and read about the contracts on the website of the clinic.

just so you see one of the options you have.

(biotexcom, it is the clinic where my surrogate mother is currently staying, where she undergoes all of the necessary exams).

godknowseverything profile image
godknowseverything in reply to bethany2

ok thanks

bethany2 profile image
bethany2 in reply to godknowseverything

you're welcome if you have any question feel free to ask

xx

godknowseverything profile image
godknowseverything in reply to bethany2

oh I now have a lot of questions..

I wanted to command PGD testing but I am not sure whether it is available for everyone. you know. I am thinking about 29k contract but I am not sure whether they provide those who signed with economy package with the same services as others who for example have signed vip contract....

I am really nervous about that.

Like I have sent an inquiry to the clinic and now am waiting for the reply. so...

bethany2 profile image
bethany2 in reply to godknowseverything

it is always better to ask directly the management of the clinic but as far as I remember PGD is available for everyone but for the economy contracts it is not for free but for like 3000 euros or something.

plus all of the services can be available for economy contracts that are not stated in the contract but you will have to pay for them, the thing is that those services are pretty much useless and the economy contract is very cheap indeed and you do not have to pay for additional services at all. bc it includes all of the necessary services already.

godknowseverything profile image
godknowseverything in reply to bethany2

well that's a bit unflattering

but I might wait till the clinic itself replies to my message and then I will talk to them about all of the questions I have.

I just do not feel right to like sign economy contract because it is the cheapest one and what if something happens?/?? will the services be the same quality as for the VIPS?

bethany2 profile image
bethany2 in reply to godknowseverything

of course they will!

but ok yeah wait for the reply bc our manager sent us the initial letter where she explained all of the differents between the contracts and what do we have to do and send her back and other things.

godknowseverything profile image
godknowseverything in reply to bethany2

we have received their response

I was sent a letter answering all of my questions and was asked to fill a simple form

well, I think i am going to stick talking to them for a bit

she, the manager, sent us a doc with everything explained in details

bethany2 profile image
bethany2 in reply to godknowseverything

oh well then you do not need my advice, I know that your manager will be responding for all of your questions to the fullest extent. so good luck!

PS keep updating xx

godknowseverything profile image
godknowseverything in reply to bethany2

Oh thank you! We are having a deep convo with my manager by emails and she seems to be very open when it is coming to my fertility issues, she does not seem to be very judging (the thing I faced a lot in my past)

But.. I will be still needing you when or if I decide to stick with this clinic... it would be very stressful if I do not have anyone with whom I can share my experience and who can give me the most useful advice.

xx

bethany2 profile image
bethany2 in reply to godknowseverything

oh ok

I am staying here till the very end! You can count on me hun! If anything ask me and I will try to help you!

this is what she has to be like, the manager of the fertility clinic should not have any prejudices against the clients and I think that there is no time for them to even think about judging anyone, they seemed to be very busy...

godknowseverything profile image
godknowseverything in reply to bethany2

thank you a lot

i have a small update

like I am going to the clinic tomorrow. we are coming to Kiev tomorrow morning and we are heading back home the day after tomorrow.

this is what I expect it to be like. I was told that there should be a bigger gap between the flights because it may affect how my DH does his sperm donation. but I suppose he will be ok! he hasn't ever shown any sign of sickness of some sort.

well, I am worried about myself and only. we are opting for egg donation honestly and we were also told that we can choose any kind of the contract the day we come but it'd be better to know what type we want so the manager will look for our hotel. :)

I liked that

Hope you are fine too.

bethany2 profile image
bethany2 in reply to godknowseverything

that's amazing!

congratulations sweety!:)

I hope that you have a nice time staying in Kiev, well, the obvious question here: which clinic did you choose? if you chose the same clinic as I did then I have a lot of useful advice to you aha ha

and so that means that you have already made up your mind on the type of the contract?

godknowseverything profile image
godknowseverything in reply to bethany2

Thank you :)

we did have a good staying in Ukraine :)

Now we're home. they gave us a lot of medications for the stimm.. the only time we were nervous during the trip was when we had to take those meds with us to the plane but thanks to Yarina (our manager) we safely went on the board because she had signed for us the protocol and stuff

just a small detail :)hope your fine

PS we were allowed to sign 5 att one although we will be looking at my amh test.. they said that egg donation is still possible for us. the thing is just we are ready to go for surrogacy any time

bethany2 profile image
bethany2 in reply to godknowseverything

wowow! nice!! glad you've found a courage and went for it! 5att?? that means that you are in a pretty good shape! I am so happy for you!

you should know that I'll be waiting for your updates!!

PS I am ok too, it is planned to have 16 weeks scan on the 6 of April so I am already packing to go back to Ukraine.. Ah.. I miss our surrogate mother! I miss seeing her with the belly *__*

godknowseverything profile image
godknowseverything in reply to bethany2

It was not that hard haha

we signed for 5 att with the light hearts and full of hopes :)

I am so happy for you!

Dear, you must be very lucky to have your dreams come true and in how many months? you are going to have a baby! a beautiful and precious pea in your hands! Or not! what am I saying! 2 beautiful miracles in your hands.

bethany2 profile image
bethany2 in reply to godknowseverything

oh so you did choose the 5 att contract! well, that's great!

I feel like you have 100 percent chances of getting pregnant!!! Well, it is sad that they do not offer unlimited attempts contracts for ivf egg donation treatment. well, stimulation is a very hard process obviously and very damaging but I think that in the nearest future we, humans, will find the way of doing stimulation without a huge health damage.

And I am very happy for you!!!! xx

godknowseverything profile image
godknowseverything in reply to bethany2

thank you

well, we had ET already

and I am worried

I hope that in a week and a half we receive the positive result

oh no I cannot wait and think about it

yes, you are right I am still on meds and they are not the best things that was in my life

just.. the reaction is fine but the stress hasn't gone anywhere.

:(

bethany2 profile image
bethany2 in reply to godknowseverything

oh well it is a bit unexpected but well I wish you all the best

I hope that you receive your positive and will share with us positive news as soon as you receive them

why didn't you tell us all along??? this is so great!!

xx

PS I have met my SM for the second time in my life now :3

godknowseverything profile image
godknowseverything in reply to bethany2

yeah I know I do not like updating as frequently as you are but sometimes I feel like it and the decision of revealing my ET was brought up suddenly as I was thinking about not revealing it till I know that I am pregnant because I am a bit superstitious as I think that I might ruin everything just by telling others

but here are a lot of women who are in the same boat with me so I thought that it is safe :)

bethany2 profile image
bethany2 in reply to godknowseverything

yes, you are right you should not feel scared or be afraid that something can happen to you as all of us here are very supportive and attentive to others, we all wish the best for each other, that's why we all are here for support and advice.

so no one here wishes you bad. we all are here for each other so do not think twice and update us always! :)

godknowseverything profile image
godknowseverything in reply to bethany2

I agree with you! How are you though? You should already have a lot of news by now :)

am i right?

how is your SM? do you know the gender already?

bethany2 profile image
bethany2 in reply to godknowseverything

yes, I have met her but yet to know the gender of my babies although I was told that chances are high that they are 2 boys :)

my SM is fine and she is so nice and cheerful, I was talking to her and asking her all of the questions, about her health and her psychological state, how she feels herself. and she said she is fine :)

godknowseverything profile image
godknowseverything in reply to bethany2

I am glad your SM is great! You definitely deserve it! I am sure that she in not only a nice human being but also a caring woman who takes care of your kids.

2 boys? wow! are you happy??? or did you want girls more? haha sorry I am sure that you're happy!

bethany2 profile image
bethany2 in reply to godknowseverything

thank you

you are so kind!

oh yes! I am happy, I do not care about what gender are my kids but I really want to know about their gender, it is like when I was getting 6 and my parents tried to out the presents under my bad so I do not notice but I was not sleeping and tried to wait till they leave my room so I can see what they've got for me. haha

I’ve just created an asking post with my wish to know how many people had their treatment in Ukraine now or in the past. I know that there is real great number of which who found a good care and medical service in Ukraine. But my desire to call together all who have been contacting Ukraine was alive on the front burner.

I just wanted to make a small chatroom for us having common thread of conversation

bethany2 profile image
bethany2 in reply to Blooo33

oh that's an interesting idea hun! I'll take a look. I was also wondering about how many people actually command VIP contracts over standard ones. but I guess that's like a very specific case for me, because this concerns only those who've been in the same clinic as I

or no, it must be ivf treatment! Right! But how it is possible? even for ivf it is too cheap! was it on your own eggs or something?

Sassa1234 profile image
Sassa1234 in reply to godknowseverything

They don't do surrogacy.

It's my own eggs and my husband's sperm.

godknowseverything profile image
godknowseverything in reply to Sassa1234

Oh. I see! anyways, thank you.

I see that a lot of women go abroad, that was my main point of creating this thread!

GabriellaST profile image
GabriellaST

I agree that going abroad is not that revolutionary anymore as most of the infertile women do so because they have to because their own government does not care about them. It's like everyone is under Trump or something, were, are and will be because I can't even understand how some countries can forbid women having a baby through surrogacy rather than making a comfortable law system that would be very strict and at the same time would protect all parties.

Sassa1234 profile image
Sassa1234 in reply to GabriellaST

Sorry, you have to respect others' principles and believes it you really believe in freedom.

godknowseverything profile image
godknowseverything in reply to Sassa1234

I believe in freedom where everyone can do whatever they want to their bodies. and if I want to have a baby and can't, just can't, but some women are willing to help me with it, why should their will be cut?

the same with abortions and stuff.

GabriellaST profile image
GabriellaST in reply to godknowseverything

I have to agree with you, godknowseverything.

Because I feel like there is something being left out of our freedom, the fact and the ability to freely voice our own opinions. I just think that this is so essential to just understand that other people have their own mindset and their own thoughts and they can say them to everyone.

so I would like to respond with the same sentence: Sorry, you have to respect others' principles and believes it you really believe in freedom.

godknowseverything profile image
godknowseverything in reply to GabriellaST

Ok thank you but I think that even though we are both on the same page there is no need to insist on your point of view as this platform does not need anything of this sort.

just a bit of support! :)

Three of my friends visited Poland, cs of top notch pgs ngs diagnosis and affordable costs

godknowseverything profile image
godknowseverything in reply to nicknick

They went there for surrogacy or for ivf? Because it is kind of problematic around the world to have a baby from surrogate mothers. And I now am looking for a kind of affordable option. As for now I have been proven wrong by all of you that there are indeed a lot of people who goo internationally. which is great because I feel so encouraged by you and your commentary.

Can you please tell me were there any legal issues that you went to another country to get a medical treatment?

Ukrainian?

Oh I have sent an email to one ukrainian clinic

it is true that their prices are a bit lower than in other countries but it is still an unknown land to me so I do not really know whether their prices are reasonable or will be the same after I start the program. you know? it happens a lot when clinics charge their clients with more money than clients were opting for in the first place

Less than 3 months? I have heard of it but how is it possible? when in UK the matching process goes for like a year

tahnee profile image
tahnee

I went to Russia . I would nor recommend it !!!

There are pros and cons to both I think. I spent so much on pre treatment anyway in the U.K. I may as well have stayed in the Uk

godknowseverything profile image
godknowseverything in reply to tahnee

oh well!! I am so sorry for your awful experience with russian clinic

Hope you are doing fine right now!

hm did you spend a lot of money in Russia? hm... because I was in the clinic abroad last week, it was in Ukraine and I haven't spent much, we were offered the room in a hotel, the taxi, and food for free, we just paid for our tickets that's all. so I feel like we saved some funds we had. but of course we have paid for the treatment itself.

tahnee profile image
tahnee in reply to godknowseverything

Yes a fair amount . A lot on medication , pre treatment in the UK and flights : hotels . Ukraine looks great for surrogacy but as I'm not a straight forward case I am dubious about further Ivf there as a one size fits all type process .

pm me if you want specifics on Russia x

godknowseverything profile image
godknowseverything in reply to tahnee

oh well, I have signed a contract with a clinic in Ukraine already!

so yeah for now I do not need any info on Russia

well, if you by any chance need some info pm me

that's a very detailed post! Thank you!

thank you for your kind words!!

which one can I ask?

As I have signed with one ukrainian clinic :)

well, how long are you supposed to wait for your surrogate mother? I suppose that this matching process is very stressful for you and you cannot wait, right? :D

oh no we are not waiting for the surrogate mother as we have signed 5 egg donation ivf attempts contract. and I have already had my ET

because of the stimulation specifics

hopefully the next weeks scan shows 2 lines

fingers crossed

oh no

you must've confused me with someone but no, I am now waiting for my hcg test. so.. yeah, it is as far from surrogacy as it can be well not that far as natural conception but still

thank you a lot!

do not be that nervous, why are you nervous? you should not be worried or nervous at all, you should be calm and still ;)

PS in a week and a half

I guess most of us applied to the clinics abroad because of the strict local prohibitions in our countries.

As for our case we also (I mean my DH and I) have tried the Ukrainian option. And you should know we remained fully satisfied.

Ukraine has become our far paradise where the dreams could be fulfilled.

I’d have named our sweet daughter Ukraine if she hasn't been named Avril.

Joke, actually, but thanks everyone who provides us with opportunity to have journeys abroad.

godknowseverything profile image
godknowseverything in reply to Blooo33

yes, I am also satisfied with Ukraine and its clinics. I just now feel like I act like a defender of this option like

I seriously feel like most of the people do not appreciate enough what Ukraine gives to them. I mean, I find it scary and irrational when I am reading some people's postings about how they question ukrainian options just because they haven't had any experience working with them and even talking to the managers

hello. just ahd my first ivf treatment with donor eggs and it was abroad. I've seen that lots of people mentioned Ukraine here. well, i'm not surprised. I don't regret I came to this country with this purpose. I realize that after I got my bfp I can't be unbiased but so many people couldn't be mistaken.

godknowseverything profile image
godknowseverything in reply to minerva17

well, you are right. and this applies also to those negative comments about other countries like Russia. to be quite honest I tend to find all the positive comments about russian surrogacy hypocritical as almost all of the reviews on the web-sites that promote such a tx are negative and very detailed like this is not your bedtime read at all

I went abroad for my treatment. We are pregnant now, actually my surrogate is pregnant. Yesterday I got to know it, feeling super excited about our visit there. My clinic is in europe, in kyiv, probably you have heard about this city before. In two words, my experience was positive there.

that's amazing! great news! oh well, I get it when someone says that "we're pregnant" rather than "our surrogate is" because does not it feel like it? I mean, it should be although I do not fully understand it as I am not a part of a surrogacy world at all. :)

oh well I was in Kyiv too (but how do you write it? like Kyiv or Kyev?? I've seen a lot of comments on it but all of them were different)
