Hi guys. I'm doing my first FET and just waiting for the embryologist to tell me how our frosties defrosted. To be honest, this cycle has been so much better than the fresh one and I've managed to stay calm throughout but now we're right near the end the nerves have really started to kick in! I'm just looking for words of encouragement really to get me through this week and the dreaded 2ww! Thank you thank you - if it wasn't for this forum and all you ladies who actually understand what this is like, I think I'd go a bit loopy!! Sending baby dust to you all xxx
Implantation week π¬: Hi guys. I'm... - Fertility Network UK
Implantation week π¬
Hi Sarahmanc. Just wanted to wish you massive luck with your FET and of course for success. As some encouragement, I have many ladies who have been successful with a FET cycle, which is most cases was so much easier for them to go through, than the original fresh cycle. The ladies here will give you lots of support I'm sure and tell you of their successes. Thinking of you. Diane
I found my FET a lot easier too (and got my BFP!!) the only downside being I had to take tablets and pessaries till 12 weeks!! Like you, I was really relaxed then stressed on transfer day! Buy it was ok, just be prepared for a little unpredictability! We expected 1 embryo to be thawed, but it took 3 to get 1 to transfer. Looking back, it was obviously meant to be as I'm now 22 weeks but it was an unexpected stress on the day that I just didn't even consider! Best of luck. X
Massive good luck wishes for you βοΈβοΈ ππ
Hi Hun,
I am also waiting for go ahead to start my first .FET, I have to have polyp removed of my womb first, which is tomorrow and then can call them to say it is removed massive luck to you sweetie hope all goes well for you xxx
Fingers crossed.... hope all works well. As my wife's scan a few days ago showed a pylop..this is the same method they will maybe decide to use aswell ( hopefully at her next scan they will let us know) follicles are growing nicely though...
The idea is for them to collect the eggs, remove the pylop... let her recover, and then hopefully use good embies.
We've read alot about FET and it certainly seems to be a successful procedure. Injections are still admistered at some point tho, but not as bad as a fresh cycle we're led to believe.
My experience of it has been that it is much easier to tolerate than the fresh cycle - much less intervention. They do give you drugs (although you can do a natural cycle without drugs - you need to have a regular menstrual cycle for this to work) but it's nowhere near as invasive as a fresh cycle. Good luck to you and your wife π
Loads of luck for thawing sarahmanc, my frosty thawed perfectly and didn't lose any cells so fingers crossed that happens for you too. Loads of luck with it all xx
That's great Georgina... wishing you all the best
Hey how did they do in the thawing process?? Xx
Good luck with everything and I do hope everything goes fine. ... I am doing a FET too...
Ooh good luck π Mine are in now - am just trying to keep myself distracted from knicker watch for the next two weeks π Xx
I keep my fingers crossed for your successful fet! Cheer up, hun! x
Good luck to you Sarahmanc , I thought I'd just mention to you, my friend has her FET and only 2 of her thawed and they weren't the best quality either, but she now has her to twin baby girls so it does work. ππxxx
