Well I've just got back from my scan and I'm feeling rather heartbroken. I've only 6 follicles. I know you only need one good eggs. I guess I just hoped and prayed I'd have more. I'm hoping I get at least 2 good eggs to put back. Has any one else had only a few follicles but resulted in good eggs?
Thanks

Hey, yes we only had 6 follicles. We managed to get 6 eggs out and they all fertilised. Three were slow developing but we put one good one in on my first round (unsuccessful) but a have 2 frozen ones left. All of them got to day 5. You only need one and any more is a bonus! best of luck.
I only had about 6-8 follicles on both of my IVF attempts and had 6-7 eggs collected each time. Fewer eggs doesn't necessarily mean worse quality eggs - I'm now 35 weeks pregnant and have 2embryos which have been frozen. Unfortunately you never know if the eggs are going to be good quality - there was little difference between my first and second cycles but the first time I had 2 day three day embryos put back in and no blastocysts and the second time I had 3 blastocysts. With 6 good sized follicles you've got every chance that you will have some good quality eggs. Wishing you lots of luck and positivity xx
I had 7 follicles. 6 eggs. All fertilised and they implanted one and we have the other 5 frozen, and now I'm 17 weeks pregnant. Don't worry! It's quality not quantity
I had 4 eggs on my first round of icsi they all fertilised , only 2 were strong enough to use had 1 put back and im blessed with a 7 month old son the other embryo was frozen and we are currently doing another cycle xx
