Polycystic ovaries & egg collection - How many?!

Just a quick question, I know everyone is different but to anyone who has polycystic ovaries and has already had a round of IVF - how many eggs were they able to collect? Xx

I have a polycystic ovary I did first cycle of Icsi last year they collected 5 eggs 4 fertilised and 2 made it to blastocyst 1 transferred and 1 to freeze x

Hey hun I had 1 round of icsi with polycystic ovaries and had 31 eggs collected 29 fertilised and 11 made it to day 6 blastocysts and all froze 😊 I had 2 fet transfers and it worked 2nd time. Good luck xx

I have EC scheduled for Monday. I have another follicle count today. I have 13 follicles growing on my left and a similar number on my right (so potentially 26 eggs!) My last scan was two days ago. I think maybe as a general rule us pcos girls respond very well to the drugs. They said they're not surprised I'm tender and swollen but it was to be expected.. x

Oh that's great news!! How far in advance did they schedule your egg collection? They have already told me that mine will be end of November but obviously not even started on any drugs yet. Also I'm guessing you are more sore due to having so many follicles?? When I last went for a scan I had 32 follicles in total (no drugs!) - so I'm really nervous :/ X

Les than a week ago on Sunday I was told it would either be today or Monday! I'm on short protocol though. They're monitoring me for OHSS I think.. EC was put to Monday though instead of today as my largest follicle was 16mm on Wednesday and they're looking for 17/18mm X

Ps yes, sorry to say I've never been so uncomfortable in my life. Not painful as such but tender heavy belly and sore boobs. I'm having to sleep with my bra on, it helps! X

32 follicles without drugs is brilliant 😊 I had 14 when they checked. 7 on either side (without drugs). I start treatment next week so will be interesting to see how many follicles there are 😊
