Hi NDE1987. Your GP or fertility clinic should be able to advise you - good luck! Diane

I would email a few clinics should be able to help you X a lot won't do it X it's around £300 X and can be done any time of the month X I had mine done X best decision I made X money well spent X my levels are higher and require treatment X at least I know and will have a better chance of any treatment working X I don't know why the medics don't recommend the test to couples about to undergo treatment X good luck X

Hi jess! So I phoned my ivf clinic and they don't do the tests but they recommend a place called the doctors laboutury. However I called them up and they said they need a referral letter from my clinic lol. So what happens now? Did you get a letter from your clinic? I haven't been asked to do the test but I want to make sure before my ivf that everything is ok x

Personally I self refered myself to a clinic in my area that provided nk cell blood test X as its a private test you can normally self refer X if I was you I'd call your clinic back and explain that you need a referral from them X they will be fine X I don't blame you Hun x you need to know that you are giving yourself the best chance X im so glad that I had my nk cell blood test done X difference between treatment working or failing X I def think any couple about to undergo treatment women should get their nk tested X Good luck X let me know how you get on X

Sorry to boycott this but sadly NHS do not fund this test. It's around £300 if nothing else Hun it's worth ruling out X

We paid privately. Our consultant sent the referral though x

Thank you! It's just that when I phoned my ivf place they said it's not a test that they do so I have to do it private, which I am more than happy to pay for but how do I get it referred, is it my go that does it or my ivf clinic. Thanks for your reply xx

Coventry hospital do this and you can self refer. This is where I went as they are part of the research team who work together with the tommys early miscarriage centre. Its about £370 and is the biopsy not the blood test, will include a scrape and all your money goes back into funding research to find cures x
