I'm wondering if the hospital will do a scan for me just because I'm asking. Just feel like I need some reassurance that everything's ok. I guess if they won't we can always go back to our clinic and pay for a scan. Just not sure how long that'll take and going to the hospital tomorrow for a blood test.
Just can't shake the paranoia.

Aw bless I'm guessing the clinics will be used to us worried mums to be. Why don't you try and see your counsellor again and talk it over. Good luck xxx
Why what's the matter? If it is symptoms nine have all disappeared then they come back then go then back.....
I'm in he same position and suffer from anxiety problems. From my experience I tend to get told to be positive and patient by the clinics. I have even been told that embryos like a 'happy' womb! You should def consider conselling or CBT. If you feel that you are stuck in a cycle that you can't get out of then you speak to your dr! It's pure torture.
You can go to the EPU at your local hospital for a scan. I had a scan at 7+ weeks and they were really nice and supportive. They did say I would have to wait 2 weeks before I could be scanned again.
What you are feeling is totally normal, we have had to go through so much o get o this stage.
Thanks everyone. I've never seen a counsellor not sure it's for me really. I've still got symptoms. I just think it's me worrying I've got to wait till July for a normal scan and not sure I can!! X
I'm 8 weeks pregnant and feel exactly the same. I'm fine with the nausea and sore boobs, it's the cramps, stabbing pains etc that are causing my anxiety levels to rise. I'm constantly texting my friends asking if it's all normal. It's such a tough journey. I feel like hibernating away and wrapping myself in cotton wool!!!
Well the hospital was pretty useless won't scan until the 19 weeks. Called the clinic but they don't do the scans in our local one which means a lot of travel. July seems a long time to wait for the 19 week scan. Not sure what to do!! I'm almost certain the worrying is just in my head. ππ
You're over 12 weeks, aren't you? So the chance of anything going wrong at this stage is pretty minimal. The 19 week scan will be very reassuring as they look at the anatomy of the baby and they might be able to tell if it's a boy or girl. I don't know that there is any real benefit to getting a scan in between, unless you are considered high risk. If you're really anxious though, you could just ask your GP or midwife to check the heartbeat with a Doppler. At least this should give you some reassurance. Some women buy dopplers but my GP told me not to, they're best used by someone in the profession who knows how to find the hb. If you use one at home it could make you more anxious if you can't find it yourself!
I am over the 12 weeks but just worrying can't help it. Took us so long to get here and then had the bleeding and now everything seems ok and too good to be true.. Definitely not buying the Doppler thing it'd make me worse! I have a midwife appointment in a couple of weeks but no ones mentioned about hearing the heart beat at this.
The midwives will listen to the heartbeat in all your appointments, but you are still a while away. I understand the anxiety - I felt the same until I started to feel the baby move. But, if it helps, between about 14 -15 weeks
I hope they do she didn't listen at our first appointment. I'm definitely looking forward to feeling baby move. I've read it might not be till like 20 weeks + as I'm already at almost 15 and I've felt nothing so far
Sorry, I meant they listen in all the appts after 16 weeks (at least in my area). In your first appt the baby is still too small, and it would take them forever to find the heartbeat. I still remember it took them a while to find it at 16 weeks. π. Hope everything will be ok.
