Test day...

hi, I was just wondering whether doing a test the day before I've been told to will make much difference? I had a 5 day blast transfer last Saturday 7th May and have been told to test on the 18th (11days later) I'm not one for testing early but I am off work the 17th, and me and hubs both in on the 18th, up at 4/5am as we're shift workers... Obviously it would be nicer whatever the outcome to do the test when we're both off work. Also, Is it possible to work out what day of my 'cycle' I'm on?? Thanks.

One day early probably won't make any difference and like you said be nice if you're off work. Not sure I understand when you when you're on, sorry. But if you mean if it's negative then you will come on sometime around your test date. I always came on just before or on test date. Hope this helps.

Hi embiemomma, I think you're on day 27 of your cycle - I was told that the first day of your 'cycle' with ivf is two weeks before egg collection - if you had a 5 day transfer on 7th then I think your egg collection was Monday 2nd May and therefore your 'cycle' began on Monday 18th. I tested one day early and it didn't make a difference to the result. Good luck!!

I used to think testing early wouldn't make a difference until my recent BFP.

I tested early and got a BFN. Tested on my OTD and finally got the BFP we've always wanted.

thank you everyone... I wouldn't usually test early I just don't want the stress at 5am before a day at work. I think I'll test on the Tuesday to prepare myself and retest the following day and use that result to contact the clinic.
