Help urgent ... gonal f pen

Just injected first dose. Does the pen go back in fridge or stay out now ????? Thanks girls

Don't worry I had gonal f and definately kept it in the fridge. All the best for your treatment x

My gonal f pen was never in the fridge (weird!) just the trigger shot. I think it has a 3 month shelf life at room temp and you'll have it used within the week I can't see how it matters ... Good luck! Xx

Hi hopee28 just small question about that gonal f . I'm gonna start my sec cycle IVF soon ... Well in my first one over year ago I was on standard doses of 150 but this time doctor told me that they still gonna use 150 because I respond well in first time but they gonna use that gonal f . In first time I was mixing powder with liquid now she say I don't need to. Well is that gonal f is better not just in using but us a injection??

I only ever have been given the gonal-F pen shot so I'm not sure. The other injection you take at the same time (name has gone out me head!!) is a powder with liquid. My understanding is the gonal-F helps mature your eggs for retrieval and the other shot stops your brain making the hormone to release them. I wasn't sure what you were asking but I always took the 2

Once its opened you keep it at room temp no more than 28 days.

Unopened gonal f could be out of fridge for 3 months at tge room temp

i was mailed by the nurse to keep it in room temperature after it is got ready.

Yeah, I think I put it back in the fridge but it wasn't necessary. I took one of my Gonal f pens in to my teaching session and the nurse told me it could stay out for 28 days. A cold needle hurts more anyway!
